A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID STREET NO FED H THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby or d resolves as follows- SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands, having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted that the street described in this resolution is unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that the public el interest and convenience requires the closing of said street SECTION TWO- The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a x portion of a street described as follows: Legal Description for Vacating portion of Clifton Court That portion of Lot 8, Block J, Second Preliminary Map of Redlands, as per plat recorded in Map Book 5, Page 2, records of San Bernardino County, State of California, described as follows. Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot 6 of Watkins Addition to Redlands as shown on plat recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page 94, records of said County, said corner being on the northerly line of Clifton Court, formerly Middle Place, thence northerly to the northeasterly corner of said Lot 6, thence easterly 15 feet to the northwesterly corner of Lot 1 of said Watkins Addition; thence southerly to the southwesterly corner of Lot 5 of said Watkins Addition, said last mentioned corner also being on the northerly line of Clifton Court; thence westerly 15 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION THREE- In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for vacation of the street described in Section 2, the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing fran- chises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other convenient structures, equipment and BOOK7196 AGE . Y fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and in- cidental purposes, including access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials , and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the street proposed to be vacated. SECTION FOUR- The City Council hereby determines that the vaca- tion of the street described herein is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED the 4th day of February, 1969.
