A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT
A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR
PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING
THE VACATION OF SAID STREET NO FEE

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains an resolves
as follows-
SECTION ONE The City Council of the City of Redlands, having )
elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter ,l
2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and Col
having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from
all evidence submitted that the street described in this resolution is
unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that the public
interest and convenience requires the closing of said street.
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a
portion of a street described as follows.
Legal Description for Vacating portion of Clifton Court
That portion of Clifton Court, formerly Middle Place, as shown
on plat of Watkins Addition to Redlands recorded in Book 5 of
Maps , Page 94, and on plat of Palm Addition recorded in Book
13 of Maps , Page 40, records of San Bernardino County, State
of California, lying southerly and westerly of the following
described line
Beginning at a point on the northerly line of Clifton Court,
said point being south 56° 18 ' 55" west 221. 32 feet along said
northerly line from the most easterly corner of Lot 6 of
Watkins Addition as shown on said Map, said point also lying
on a curve concave northerly having a radius of 47 00 feet, a
radial to said point bears south 66° 06 ' 53" west; thence
southerly and easterly along said curve an arc distance of
81.87 feet, through a central angle of 99° 47 ' 58" to a point
on the northerly prolongation of the northeasterly line of
Lot 12 of the Palm Addition as shown on said Map; thence
southerly along said prolongation 5 00 feet to a point on the
southerly line of Clifton Court, said point also being the
most northerly corner of said Lot 12
SECTION THREE. In the proceeding herein adopted by this City
Council for vacation of the street described in Section 2, the City of
Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement
and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain,

operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and
appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any street or part
thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises
❑r renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate,
replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables,
wires , poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures
for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines,
railroad lines , and for the distribution or transportation of electric
energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and incidental
purposes, including access and right to keep property free from inflam-
mable materials, and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same
from all hazards in, upon, and over the street proposed to be vacated
SECTION FOUR• The City Council hereby determines that the vaca-
tion of the street described herein is required by public interest,
convenience, safety and welfare.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED the 4th day of February, 1969
