RESOLUTION NO. 3908 83-193184
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT
PORTIONS OFA CERTAIN STREET ARE UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE
STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID PORTION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and re-
solves as follows .
SECTION ONE. The City Council of the City of Redlands , having
elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 , Part 3 , Chapter 2
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having
held a public hearing as provided herein, hereby finds from all evidence
submitted that portions of a certain street described in this resolution
are unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and that the
public interest and convenience require the closing of said portions of
a certain street The City Council hereby further finds that such vaca-
tion is consistent with the City 's General Plan.
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of por-
tions of La Paloma Street described in the attached Exhibit "A. "
SECTION THREE: In the proceedings herein adopted by this City
Council for the vacation of portions of a certain street described in
Exhibit "A" reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent ease-
ment for the benefit of an existing franchise or renewal thereof to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove , renew, and enlarge lines
of pipe and convenient structures , equipment , and fixtures for the
operation of gas pipelines including access and right to keep property
free from inflammable materials and wood growth, and to otherwise pro-
tect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the portion of the
street proposed to be vacated described as follows .
That portion of La Paloma Street as shown on Tract No . 6886 recorded in
Book 87, pages 93 and 94 of Maps , records of San Bernardino County,
being the southwesterly 10 . 00 feet of the northeasterly 20 .00 feet,
measured at right angles to the following described line .
Beginning at the intersection of the southeasterly boundary of said
tract, the bearing of which is North 56° 17 ' 46 " East (recorded as North
56° 18 ' 00 " East) and the northeasterly line of said La Paloma Street,
60 feet wide, said northeasterly line being a curve , concave north-
easterly, having a radius of 170 00 feet, a radial line to said point
bears South 23° 31 ' 44" West; thence northwesterly along said curve ,
through a central angle of 15° 28 ' 34" , an arc distance of 45 .92 feet,
a radial line to last said point bears South 39° 00 ' 18" West .
SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of portions of the street described herein is required by
public interest, convenience, safety and welfare .

REDLANDS, as recorded in Book 5 of Maps , page 2 , records of San
Bernardino County, described as follows . CID
BEGINNING at the centerline intersection of La Paloma Street and
Phlox Court, as shown on Tract No. 6886 recorded in Book 87 of
Maps, pages 93 and 94 , records of San Bernardino County; thence
South 33° 42 ' 03" East (recorded by said tract map as North 33°
42 ' 00" West) 48 .00 feet to the beginning of a curve concave to GO
the northeasterly having a radius of 200 feet; thence southeasterly bb
60 . 37 feet along said curve (through an angle of 17° 17 ' 39") to
a point on a radial line bearing; thence on said radial line
bearing North 39° 00 ' 18" East 30 00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING said True Point lying on the easterly right-of-way line
of La Paloma Street, said True Point also being the beginning of
a curve concave to the west and having a radius of 43 .63 feet;
thence southerly 44 .24 feet along said curve (through an angle of
58° 05 ' 48") to a point of intersection with the southerly right-
of-way line of La Paloma Street; thence North 56° 17 ' 46" East,
28. 00 feet along said right-of-way to an intersection with the
northeasterly right-of-way line of La Paloma Street, said inter-
section also being the beginning of a curve concave to the north-
east having a radius of 170 . 00 feet; thence northwesterly 45 .92
feet along said curve (through an angle of 15° 28 ' 34") to the
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
