RESOLUTION NO . 3426
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A CERTAIN ALLEY
IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE ALLEY PURPOSES AND
ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID ALLEY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and resolves as
follows :
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands, having elected
to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a pub-
lic hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted
that a certain alley described in this resolution is unnecessary for pre-
sent or prospective purposes and that the public interest and convenience
require the closing of said alley.
SECTION TWO. The City Council hereby orders the vacation of an alley
described as follows :
All that alley as deeded by deeds recorded in Book 70 of Deeds,
Page 150 and Book 69 of Deeds, Page 300, said alley being in
Lot 28, Block 77, RANCHO SAN BERNARDINO, as recorded in Book 7
of Maps, Page 2, in the office of the County Recorder, County
of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows :
A strip of land for alley-way, commencing at a point 125 feet
west from the west line of Orange Street (84. 25 feet) ; thence
running 20 feet west along the north line of Redlands Boulevard
(formerly Water Street) ; thence north at right angles 402 . 25
feet to the depot grounds of the California Southern Railway;
thence east at right angles 20 feet; and thence south 402. 25
feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION FOUR. The City Council hereby determines that the vacation `:
of the alley described herein is required by public interest, convenience,
safety and welfare
