A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF THE
REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING A PASSENGER LOADING ZONE ON
MYRA STREET AT KIMBERLY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
WHEREAS, pursuant to studies made under the authority of Title 10 of the Redlands
Municipal Code, and the presentation of information contained m such studies, the City Council
of the City of Redlands has determined that certain traffic regulations are necessary to protect the
public health, safety and welfare and should be established pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands
Municipal Code,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS as follows
Section 1 This City Council further determines that approval of this Resolution is
exempt from review under California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA
Guidelines section 15061(b)(3) which provides that CEQA applies only to projects which have
the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment This City Council fmds with
certainty that there is no possibility the approval of this Resolution may have a significant effect
on the environment
Section 2 Pursuant to Section 10 40 200 of the Redlands Municipal Code, this City
hereby establishes a passenger loading zone for approximately 100 feet on the east side of Myra
Street adjacent to Kimberly Elementary School between the hours of 7 00 am and 3 00 pm
beginning at the corner of Myra Street and Ivy Street and heading north
Section 3. City staff is hereby directed to immediately install appropriate markings to
implement this Resolution

Kimberly ES will be moving to a closed pertmet=r as of January 7 2019 One of the official entry gates will be#19 on Myra Street Tne gate is located on a section of the street that is
already identified as-passenger loading/unloading zone but'he painted curb has faded over time We would like to see if'he city could repaint the curb in this area to more visibly
identify he loading area and thus better support the drop-off pattern near this gate The area in question can be seen in gray near gate S19 in the image below
