MAR �� 9 00 AM City Clerk, City of Redlands - V DENNIS IS MULE Post Office Box 280 FkE CLERK RECOrWL"F Redlands, California, 92373 SAN BER ARDINO COl4t CAUE RESOLUTION NO. 3327 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS ARE UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATIONS OF SAID PORTIONS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and resolves as follows : SECTION ONE• The City Council of the City of Redlands, having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chap- ter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted that portions of certain streets des- cribed in this resolution are unnecessary for present or prospec- tive purposes and that the public interest and convenience require the closing of said portions of certain streets. SECTION TWO - The City Council hereby orders the vacations of - portions of certain streets described as follows : The easterly 8.00 feet of 80 foot wide New York Street lying southerly of State Street (formerly Citrus Avenue) and northerly of the Mill Creek Zanja; and t' The southerly 8.00 feet of 80 foot wide State Street (formerly Citrus Avenue) lying easterly of New York Street and westerly of Center Street. SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for the vacations of portions of certain streets described in Section Two, the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacations the permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and across any street or part`"thereof-p-roposed"to be vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the distribution or transportation of elec- tric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and incidental purposes, including access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the portion of the streets proposed to be vacated. eoox9128 FAH 538 SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vacations of portions of the streets described herein are required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
