RESOLUTION NO. 5209
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR
PRESENT OR D. ROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORLERIN G THE
VACATION OF SAID PORTION
STREET VACATION NO. 111
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby resolves as
follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands, having elected to
proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided
herein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted that a portion of said street described
in Exhibits "A" and "B" (attached hereto and made a part thereof) is unnecessary for
present or prospective street purposes and the public interest and convenience require
the closing of a portion of said street. The City Council hereby further finds that such
vacation is consistent with the City's General Plan.
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a portion of
said street described in the attached Exhibits "A" and "B."
SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for
the vacation of a portion of said street described in the attached Exhibits"A" and "B,"
the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacations the permanent easement
and right at any time, or from time to time to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures, in,
upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to
any exiting franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain,
operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires,
poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas
pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for the distribution or transportation of
electric energy water and incidental purposes, including access and right to keep
property free from inflammable materials and wood growth, and to otherwise protect
the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the portions of the street proposed to be
vacated.

SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of a
portion of said street as described in the attached Exhibits "A" and "B" herein is
required by public interest, convenience, safety or welfare, if such street portion is not
required for present or prospective public purposes.

resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof on the 3rd day
of October, 1995, by the following vote:

That portion of Central Avenue (50 feet wide) described as follows:
Commencing at the westerly intersection of the centerline of Ninth Street and
Central Avenue as shown by detail on Record Survey recorded in Book 56 of Surveys,
Page 51, Records of San Bernardino County;
thence South 89' 57' 37" West along the centerline of said Central Avenue,
27.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning;
thence North 00' 23' 15" West parallel with the centerline of said Ninth Street,
25.00 feet to an intersection with the north right of way line of said Central Avenue;
thence South 89' 57' 37" West along the north right of way line of said Central
Avenue, 178.13 feet;
thence South 00' 21' 50" East, 25.00 feet to an intersection with the centerline
of said Central Avenue;
thence North 89' 57' 37" East, 178.14 feet along the centerline of said Central
Avenue to the Point of Beginning.
