Reason forgea Finalize scope, fee and schedule for Tasks 2 through 7.
Description: Article 5 - Payments to Engineer shall be amnded as follows:
1. Delete last sentence of Article 5.4 and add the following:
Compensation for Tasks 2 through 7 of the Scrape of Mork in attach-
ment A with the exception of Task 3.1 (9) shall not exceed
$129,392 without theOwner's written approval. A breakdown of
estimated manhours, labor fees, subcontractor fees and expenses is
contained in Attachment C.
Compensation for Task 3.1 (9) shall be based on actual time re-
quired for pothole locations using the method of compensation as
previously provided. For budgeting purposes an allowance of $2809
is estimated.
Attachment A, the Scope of Work shall be amended as fellows:
I. Under Article 2.1 delete Item (5) .
2. Delete Articles 2.2 and 2.3, and substitute as follows:
2.2 Hydraulic Analysis
The ENGINEER will perform a calibration run and a maximum of two
hydraulic system analyses of the 1570 zone within the study area
utilizing the distribution system model inputs and demands from
the City's 1981 Mater Master Plan and updated data provided by
City staff for two alternatives for both Summer and tinter flow
patterns. The two hydraulic system analysis are to be selected by
the OWNER from consultation with the ENGINEER. This analyses will
include:

1. Calibration run conforming to the 1981 water system analysis
production run and data wase. Then updating the 1570 zone
1981 data base from information provided by the OWNER by
incorporating piping changes made since 1981. The
shall, also provide pump head curves and system head curves
for the Vwps at Texas Reservoir.
2. Convert the updated data to the University of Kentucky data
base. Perform couter analysis of the existing water trans-
mission main and distribution system considering all pipes
inches in diameter and larger.
3. using the university of Kentucky model, analyze a maxiTwim of
two alternative transmission main alignments. Pipe sizes and
locations where the existing cross-pipes should be connected
to the new transmission main will be determined. 24 hour and
fire flow model simulations will be performed for each
alternative alignment as required.
4. Provide recd endations and pipe sizing for maintaining
service along the existing water transmission maim along
Brockton Street.
2.3 The ENGINEER will provide the OWNER with two copies of a
Preliminary Design. letter report.
3. Corder Article 3.1 (1. ), delete final sentence "Based on final
to the City".
4. Under Article 5.5, revise Item (1) to read as follows: "l. Two
sets of 90 complete 40 scale construction plans and specifica-
tions".
Attachment B, the Project Schedule shall be amended as follows:
1. Delete third paragraph and substitute the following: The
Preliminary Design letter report will be submitted within 30
calendar clays and the 90% design submittal within 120 calendar
days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Final documents will be
submitted within: two weeks after receipt of all City comments on
the 90 submittal.
Attachment C, the Fee Estimate shall be amended as follows:
1e Delete the second sentence and after the words "alignment study"
add the words "and preliminary and final design".
2. Acid the attached tables.
