Thant: you -for the opportunity to submit this proposal for performance
of engineering services you desire for conducting an energy utilization
stidy a" the City of Redlands Wastewater Treatment Facility.
Thi overall work would consist of three phases as follows:
Phase I -- Alternative Identification, Devel p;Dent and Screening
Phase II - Viable Alternative Development
Phase III - Design of Selected Alternatives}
This proposal is for Phase I only; it is our understanding that work
beyond Phase I would be covered by subsequent authorizations.
Our scope of work would consist of six tasks with appropriate subtasks,
as follows:

The estimated costs will not be exceeded unless there is a change in
scope of work which is approved by the City of Redlands.
We have tentatively scheduled to begin this work in late August or
early September, 1982.

Schedule
Exhibit A attached hereto is the proposed schedule for the engineering
services listed above. The Phase I report could be completed approximately
ten t,,,eeks from commencement of work.
Fee
Our fee for performing the engineering services described herein would be
based oil our actual salary costs plus 104 percent for overhead and profit,
plus direct expenses. The estimated cost for performing the services
described is $9,150. This fee is based on the manhour budgQt presented
in Exhibit B.
