AMD WKE&U, the City V Redlands, a municipal corporation of the
5tate of California, is the owner of the remaining three -fifths (3/5ths)
interest in and to said above described w012
AND WHERZA52 the said well has been used and now is being used in
the irrigation of certain cittuz PrPPertina Owned by the said Don B.
huntington and Alone L. Huntington and the said Robert H. ADore and the
said Ruth Moore for the past fifteen (15) yeara to irrigate approximately
17 acres of citrus property,
ANt WHEREAGI the said Gity of Redlands within the yeavviast pant
has constructed a new well, known as Well No. 34 of the Gity of Redlands
on property in close proximity to said clove described well, and located
on Lots 70 and 71 of TRACT N. 2959, aa per plat recorded in Book 41 OP
Maps, page 510 records of San Bernardino County, California, ond which
well is now in uze and is pumping water, and the said Don E. Huntington
and the said Alene L. Huntington and the saK aabert E. Kara and Hut.'a
Moore believe and claim that the pumping of said Oity Well W 34 As
depleted the effectiAness and lowered the water flow from the said
well, in which they own said twowfifths (2/5ths) interest
Now therefore in order to avoid litigation and to effect a settlement
and compromise, the City of Redlands agrees to make the following
improvements on the Moore -Huntington Well at its sole cast and expense,
to -wit: To lower the Bawls of said well and the pump thereon a depth of
45 feet to 50 feet , so that the said well will produce inches o
d well No. 34 is not increased and the size and capacity are not
increased, and the C"'Ity will not be held liable for the general water
table lowering of the said Moo ®Huntington ll,

BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Redlande purchase the hereinafter
described real property and water rights fromthe Pioneer Title
Insurance and Trust Company for the Cash sure of $2500.00.
All that real property situate in the County of San Bernar-
dino, California, described ad follows:

Title Insurance and Trust Company) in said Tract 2929;
TOGETHER WITE the pipe lines and grater service on srid Tract
295 9;
TOGETHER WITH an easement to construct, operate and maintain
in end over said land water pipes with all necessary rights of
way --nd easements therefore created by daeds appearing on the
public records of said County or as may exist on the ground,
whether visible or invibille.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution w'-s duly adopted by the
City Codncil of the City, of Redlands, at a regular adjourned meeting
thereof, held on the 6th dzy of September, 1947.
