This agreement, dated the 5th day of ct,, s t -,
1957, made by the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation, here-
inafter called "City" and the Redlands Chamber of Commerce, a
corporation, hereinafter called "Chamber of Commerce."
The City hereby agrees to appropriate the sum of four
thousand dollars ($4000-00) to be used by the Chamber of CoLimerce
during the fiscal year 1957-58 for no purpose other than the fol-
lowing:
1. To advertise and publicize the City of Redlands;
2. To induce immigration and visitation to said City;
3. To induce and promote industrial business and resi-
dential growth;
4. To exhibit manufactured and other products made in
and near the said City, and participate in industrial, commercial
and governmental fairs, conventions, expositions and exhibitions
for that purpose;
5. To advertise and furnish information to the general
public regarding the advantages of said City as a place to live,
work and establish industries and businesses;
6. To generally aid and promote the industrial expansion
of said City;
7. To cause to be prepared, published and disseminated
bulletins and other advertising matter relating to the foregoing
activities;
8. To compile data, photographs, literature and other
information with respect to the foregoing activities; and
9. To engage and pay competent personnel and agencies
to assist in carrying out the aforesaid purposes.
The Chamber of Commerce hereby agrees to -make an account-
ing of expenditures of said sum of four thousand dollars (34000-00)
in a manner clearly specifying the application of said funds during
the fiscal year. The accounting herein required shall be filed in
writing with the City Clerk before July 15, 1958.
