This agreement, made and entered into this 7th day
of J o n u!,i ry 2 19539 by and between the CITY OF REDLANDS,
CALIFORNIA, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as
the "City" and EARL 0. BEAR AGENCY, hereinafter referred to as
"Agency".
The City agrees to employ the services of the Agency for
the collection of certain delinquent accounts and the Agency is
authorized to collect all past due debts assigned to it by the City
of Redlands.
As consideration for said service, the City agrees to
pay a commission or contingent fee of fifty per cent (50f-) of the
amount of the collection to the Agency, but if no Collection is
made, there shall be no charge. Said fee shall be paid during the
month following the date the entire amount collected by the Agency
shall be remitted to the City.
The Agency hereby agrees, as follows:
1. To submit to the Director of Finance of the City Of
Redlands a written monthly statement on the status of all accounts
assigned from the City to the Agency.
2. To remit to the Finance Director on the last day of
each month the entire amount of all said assigned claims collected
during the preceding month by the Agency.
3. To charge no interest Unless the Director of Finance
shall expressly authorize such charges.
