RE. WHEREAS, from time to time dogs are found running at large.,
qpQrqry,tee the Provisions of 0pgjpgjqe Q, 1086 of the_p,.ty,_q
Redlands, entitled, "PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL AND ERADICATION OF
RABIES, PRESCRIBIM A PENALTY FDR TBE VIOLATION OF ITS PEMSIGH
AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO, 856"; and
WHEREAS., the City of Redlands does not have a pound or faci-
lities to handle the impounding or disposal of dogs and that the
City of San Bernardino does have such facilities and is agreeable
to aid and assist the City of Redlands by the caring for, impound-
ing and disposing of such dogs found running at large contrary to
the provisions of said Ordinance o® 10869 in said City of Redlands.
Now, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AD BY A30 BETWEEN THE PART-
IES HERETO, AS FOLLOWS:
1, That said City of San Bernardino, effective the Ist.
day of Septembep , 1958, shall through its Humane Depertaent.,
accept, impound and dispose of any and all dogs which are found
running at large in the City of Redlands contrary to the provisions'
of said Ordinance Xo. 1086,,.
2, That sold City of San Bernardino shall for and on behalf
provisions of this Ordinan= shall be killed bafore seventy-two
(72) hours have elapsed from the time of the taking up of such dog,
and Mat said City of Redlands will defend and hold harmless said

3. That said City of Redlands shall pay to said City of San
Bernardino the sum of Two ($2.00) Dollars Or each aura every %0,

deputized and authorized to collect City of Redlands license fees
for ill dogs released from the San Earnardinc, Cit Pound to por sons
residing within the corporate limits of the City of Redlands; and
,all collect license and vaccination fees, as set forth in Win-
ance No. 1036. All necesssry lioense forms and peceipt books will
be furnished by the City of Redlandsq 2nA.all license and vaccina-
tion fees ohall be accounted for ench week by said City of Sen
Bernardino Humane offIcer to the City of Redlands Chief of Police or

Folice or his authonized Agent will issue a license upon proof of

I am attaching hereto, a copy of the completed Agreement
between the City of San Bernardino and the City of Redlands
covering dog pound services.
Also, referring to the Agreement between the City of San
Bernardino and the City of Redlands, dated January 31, 1958,
for the disposal of dogs and cats in the City of San Bernardino
Dog Pound, this letter will serve as notice of termination of
such Agreement inasmuch as the provisions of this Agreement are
included in the attached new document.
