A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO PREPARE AND
SIGN GRANT RELATED DOCUMENTS IN SUPPORT OF THE
ADMINISTRATION OF THE HOMELESS EMERGENCY AID GRANT
WHEREAS, on October 2, 2018, the County of San Bernardino Office of Homeless
Services released a Request for Application requesting applications for eligible projects for
Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP) Funding; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands authorized staff to prepare and
submit a grant application for HEAP funding; and
WHEREAS, on October 26, 2018, the City of Redlands submitted its grant application
proposing a project entitled, Addressing the Homelessness Crisis in Redlands — No Wrong Door
Strategy and was successful in receiving a grant award; and
WHEREAS, on May 7, 2019, the City Council of the City of Redlands entered into an
agreement with the County of San Bernardino to accept Homeless Emergency Aid Program
grant funding in the amount of $600,000; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Redlands to successfully implement the grant
project in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet the project's proposed outcomes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section I. The City Council of the City of Redlands authorizes the City Manager, or
designee, to review, prepare, sign and submit all necessary reimbursement requests, budget
transfers, progress reports, final reports and other non -substantive administrative actions to
implement and carry out the purposes specified in the Homeless Emergency Aid Program grant
agreement.
