CITY- CF 11-FITTANDS hereinafter called the City
W I T N E S S E T H
MREAS, it Is provided in Section I94,92, Streets and Highways
Gode,9 that any city or city and county whose population has increased
substantially since the last Federal. Census may apply to Department
to estimate the increase in population, and
WHEREAS, said Section 1.94.2 provides that Departwnt may make
the estimate if in ,the opWon of Department there is available adequate
information upon which to base the esti i ate , and.
WHEREAS, City desires to have Department estimate the increase in
population of City and. Department is willing to make such estimation'
provided adequate information is available upon which to base the estimate'
NOW., THEREFORE, it is hereby mutually agreed between the
parties hereto as foll.cwai
1, City shall. provide such data as are requested by Department
in order that Department may determine whether adequate information is
available upon which to base an estimate of population of City* In the
event Department determines that there is not adequate infoxmati.on upon
which to base an estimate of population it shall inform City and shal.1 make
available to City the basis for this detendmati.on and in such case Department
shall render no further services hereunder. However, should Department

determine that there is adequate information upon which to base an estimate of
population., Department agrees to proceed to perform such further work as it deems
necessary in order to make an estimate of population of City. Upon completion of
such estimate of population Department shall officially certify the figure at the
earliest practicable date. City agrees to accept as final the estimate as
officially certified if the population so estimated exceeds by five percent the
population determined by the last federal. census. Prior to the official certifi-
cation Department may transmit to City a staiementq to be regarded as preliminary
and subject to change., of the estimate of population and of the basic data used
in its preparation. It is further mutually understood and agreed that Department
shall have full and c e plete charge in the selection and application of the
method or methods used in estimating the population of City and that City shall
certify as to the accuracy of all. information .furnished from local records for
use in preparation of said estimate of population.
2. Upon completion of said estimate of population., City agrees to
reimburse Department for all costs incurred by Department in connection with
the performance of this agreement., such costs to be computed as follows:
a. The established gage paid each employee whose service is furnished
by Department for the time expended in the performance- of such service -
adjusted., however., to include reimbursement for a proportionate sham
of holidays., vacations., sick -leave., and employer contributions to the
retirement system,., as shorn in Schedule "All attached hereto,
b. Overtime, if any., at the same adjusted hourly mate.
c. The traveling expenses of each employee uhose service is .furnished
by Departmant in connection with the zeanditi.on of such service as
audited and allowed is conformity Ath State law and Board of Control
rules

d, other operating expenses incurred directly in connection with
the rendition of such service,
e. A proportionate share of the cost of carrying out the program
under Chapter 2345, 1957 Regular Session, said char a to be a sung
equal to twelve percynt of all other char e's payable by (;ity under
this agree,aent.
f. Normal wore day hours spent in travel in connection with such
service shall be considered as hours expended in the performance
of such service for purposes of computing.>, wages (subpar. a) for

3. Department shall iurni li a statement to City of amount- due from
{amity as hereinabove provided upon the completion of the services to be rendered
under this Agreement by Department and City agrees to pay Department the amount
due as shown in such statement within 30 days after receiving such statement,
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties hereto have subscribed their names the
dateand the year first above written.
