AMENDMENT No. I
This Amendment No. I authorizes the ENGINEER to perform Engineering Services included in
this Amendment and in accordance with the AGREEMENT for the preparation of the Plans and
Specification for the Nevada Street, Park Avenue, Alabama Street, Center Street Water
Transmission Main, dated October 6, 1998.
This Amendment dated February 16, 1999 makes the following changes to the AGREEMENT;
all other provisions of the AGREEMENT remain in effect.
ARTICLE I - ENGAGEMENT OF THE ENGINEER
No changes.
ARTICLE 2 - SERVICES OF THE ENGINEER
2.1 The scope of Work is amended as set forth in Attachment A(I) to this Amendment
which defines the scope of work for engineering services for the Nevada Street,
Park Avenue, Alabama Street, Center Street Water Transmission Project.
ARTICLE 3 - RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CITY
No changes.
ARTICLE 4 - PERIOD OF SERVICE
4.1 The time period for performance of the ENGINEER'S services set forth in Article
2 shall be in accordance with the completion date defined in Attachment B(l) to
this Amendment.
ARTICLE 5 - PAYMENT TO THE ENGINEER
5.4 The total compensation to perform work under this Amendment shall be in
accordance with Attachment C(l), Table No. I to this Amendment.
ARTICLE 6 - INSURANCE AND INDEMNIFICATION
No changes.

SCOPE OF WORK
The following Tasks of the Nevada Street, Park Avenue, Alabama Street, Center Street Water
Transmission Main project have been added to the"Scope of Work"in the original agreement:
Addition of Section 300 as follows:
Section 300 Design and prepare a water main improvement plan for proposed 12" water main in
Iowa Street from Orange Avenue southerly (approximately 500 lineal feet). The
design services shall be provided in accordance with Sections 102 through 108,
inclusive, and Sections 201 through 210, inclusive outlined in the"Scope of Work."
ARTICLE 7- GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
No changes.
IN WITNESS WHERE OF, duly authorized representatives of the parties have signed in
confirmation of this Amendment.
