engineering, services under said conditions;

A. GENERAL SCOPE
For and in consideration of the aareernents heroin made and the -,)av-
ment to be made by the Ci TV, the E1IIGINEER agrees to lu-rnish and
perform engineering services in connection with the preparation of
a water system -m-aster plan and a wastewater collection system
master plan.
B. DETAILED SCOPE
The engineering, ;el-vice: I.,.,hich shali bc pro-c-ided by the ENCiENTIERIP,
shall include the following:
1. Wate tc Master Plan
a. Rev-Lew all available re,3,orts on the water system and TDoten-
tial sources of water supply to obtain benefit Cal previous

periodic updating of the proposed plan as modifications are

shall be delivered with120 calendar days after receipt of
notification to proceed. Twenty-five X 25 copies of the final
report shall he delivered to the CITY approximately 30 days
after receipt of the C I T Y' re;-iew of the, preliminary report.

a. Collect and analyze land use and population rowth data for
the area. ( The City of Redlands General Plan represents a
portion of this data, j
b. Review and analyze the existing collection system and obtain

average ratios and apply these to land use conditions in the
CITY.

select the plan best suited to meet the requirements of the
Cl TY.
T). Following coordination of alternative plans with the CITY
and selection of the -plan to be recommended, the final report
shall be prepared to include:
(1) Description of One CITY and its Zone of influentce.
(2') Discussion of ClT Y gro�-Vh potential and projections for
the 'uture.
(3) Description, includinle; iraps, of the existing wastee,,ater
collection systern.
(4) Results of flow measurements and computations.
Alternative plans for meeting the CI 's proiected
wastewater collection requirements, in eluding graphic
displays, tabular data, collection network, and cost
comparisons,
(6) Recommended Plan, with complete layout, costs, opera-
tion and maintenance plan, financial plan, and construction
program staged according to projected requirements.

to the CITY approximately 130 days after receipt of the CITY's

Salary casts are define.l on pages 22 and 22 of thecurrent edition of Manual
Noy 5 of the American Society of Ci it Engineers. Atrto_ obile travel shall
be c& arged at 15 cants per mile, and non-salary expenses directly attributable
to the project, as described on page 22 of said lanual, shall be charged at-

tactual cost. The charge for the use of the computer Shall include com-
uter personnel salary cots plus 12 percent of said salary costs, plus a
charge of 5 /cornputer hour. On studies of this nature, it is difficult to
ascertain the enact amount cif manpower that will be required to complete the

These budget figures are based on conducting the work on both master plans
concurrently, and will not be exceeded -,=;irthout written authorization from the
CITY.
Payment of the aforementioned ±ees small be due ,=,,-itnin thirty days after date
of monthly statement describing the -c rl~ perforr ed, and expenses incurred
during the preceding month,

If any work performed by time ENGINEER is abandoned or suspended In whole
or in past-, the ENGINEER hall be paid for services perfornned prior to
receipt written notice from the CITY o' such abandonment or suspension,
together with any terminal expenses resulting ting t re-from and including cam:

ARTICLE LE V. BOOKS OF ACCOUNT

The ENGINEER agrees to keep proper books of records and account in x�,a ich

ARTICLE LE 11. TITLE
It is expressly agreed and understood by and between parties hereto that any
and all documents as shall be prepared and submitted by the —ENGINEER to
