The parties to this agreement of employment are Mrs. Oda
Emile Parkes hereinafter called "employee" and the City of Redlands,
hereinafter called "employer".
I. Employer agrees to perform as follows:
1. To provide living quarters for employee in the
apartment house owned by employer at 68 Eureka Street in the City
of Redlands, without requiring employee to pay rent.
2. To extend worl<-man's compensation insurance cover-
age to employee.
Ii. Employee agrees to perform as follows:
1. To manage the apartment house owned by employer
at 66 Eureka Street, in the City of Redlands.
2. To maintain the grounds on said premises, in a
manner employer may require.
3. To put any room which shall be vacated in said
apartment house in a condition for re -rental by employer by proper
cleaning and maintenance of such vacated room.
4. To make such minor repairs within said apartment
house as the employer shall require.
Ill. The parties hereto agree that the reasonable rental value
of the room provided employee in the apartment house herein de-
scribed is the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per month.
