Vander Linde Dear Sir: In regards to my conversation with you, I am p1eased to submit a bid for nightly janitor service, 5 nights per week for the Main Office at the Cemetery but not to include the lunch room. (A) DAILY SERVICE 1. Empty waste baskets 2. Empty and damp clean ashtrays 3. Vacuum all carpet 4. Dust desks, chairs, filing cabinets and other office furniture 5. Clean restroom,s & restroom fixtures b. Clean and sanitize drinking fountains (B) MEEKLY 1. Diet Mop restroom. floors (C) M014TELY 1. Wash windows inside and out My bid for the preceeding work is 260.00 per month. Cleaning of the New Mausoleum: (A) ONCE A WEEK 1. Dust mop all terrazzo floors 2. Wet moD all terrazzo floors 3, Machine polish all terrazzo floors 4. Clean entrance door glass (B) EVERY TWO WEEKS 1. Remove black marks from terrazzo floors 2. Wax floors where needed Cont. page 2. .r - -City of .Redlands - Cont. Page 2. (C) ONCE A MONTH 1. Wash all windows inside and out My bid for the preceeding work is 6 .00 per month. I suggest that on the first clean up, that the floors should be stripped of all the old wax and be re -waxed with two coats to make the floors look immaculate. The charge for this first clean- up would be 0.00. Cleaning of the Old Mausoleum: (A) WEEKLY 1. must mop all floors (B) ONCE A MONTH 1. Wet mop all marble floors 2. Remove heel marks, etc. from floors 3. Spot wax floors where needed 4. Machine polish all marble floors My bid for the preceeding work is $25.00 per month. I suggest that on the first clean up, that the floors should be scrubbed down very well and then apply 2 coats of wax to seal the pours in the floor. The charge for the first clean up would be 0.00. Accurate Janitor Service is to furnish all supplies and equipment necessary to properly perform this service with the exception of restroom supnlles such as hand soap, hand towels, deodorants, toilet tissue, etc. All equipment, materials and sunplies are to be of first class quality. Accurate Janitor Service is to bond all employees ($2500) and carry Workmen's Compensation, Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance ($100,000 & $300,000). All work is to be handled by competent, capable men or women under careful supervision. It is agreed by both parties that this agreement can be cancelled by the City of Redlands by giving Accurate Janitor Service thirty (30) days written notice prior to the date such cancellation will be effective. Dust desks, chairs, tables, filing cabinets and other office furniture 7. Vacuum all carpeting S. Clean and sanitize restrooms and restroom fixtures 9. Refill soap, towel and tissue dispensers in restrooms 10. I fet mop all restroom floors 11. Clean all drinking fountains 12. Clean sink and table tops in coffee room 13. Dust venetian blinds (E) QUARTERLY 1. Wash all clear glass windows inside and out 2. Clean all leather and plastic upholstered chairs 3. Brush air-conditioning vents (F) EVERY 6 MONTHS 1. Wash front & sides of desks Contractor is to furnish all supplies and equipment necessary to properly perform this service with the exception of restroon supplies such as hand soap, hand towels, deodorants, toilet tissue, paper towels, etc. All equipment, materials and supplies are to be of first class quality. Contractor is to bond all employees (42500) and carry Workmen's Compensation Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance, ($100,000 & 1.300,000). Contractor is to furnish City with certificates of insurance. Each of said certificates of insurance must contain language providing that no cancellation of the particular policy represented can be made without the insurance company notifying City ten (10) days prior to any such cancellation. Contractor shall commence performing service pursuant to this Agreement on August 1, 1961 and ending on July 31, 1962. If performance is unsatisfactory, the City reserves the right to cancel all or any portion of contract by giving 30 days written notice. Monthly payments of $425.00 shall be made to the Contractor on or before the 15th dap of each month beginning in September. 1961 and each month thereafter. Vacuum dust & dirt accumulation from around air— conditioning vents Contractor is to furnish all supplies and equipment necessary to properly perform this service with the exception of restroom supplies such as hand soap, hand towels, deodorants, toilet tissue, etc. All equipment, materials and supplies are to be of first class quality. Effective January 1, 1976, the new Minimum Wage Law will increase the minimum wage from $2.10 per hour, which we are now paying, to $2.30 per hour. Because this increase in wages so directly affects our industry, we are asking for a monthly increase of $44.00 to cover the mini- mum wage, payroll tax and insurance, starting January 1, 1976.
