between the City and District covering a $72,000 participation. on the
referenced storm drain. In lane with provisions of the permit, plans,
specifications and computations for the project should be submitted. to this
office for review and approval as soon as available.

This Agreement entered into this aae) day of Ck
1962, by and between the City of Redlands, hereinafter referred to as the
"City" and the San Bernardino County Flood Control District, hereinafter
referred to as "District."
WITNESSETH
AREAS, the City of Redlands, located within Zone 3 of the
San Bernardino County Flood Control District, State of California, has need
of certain storm drain facilities as shown on Vicinity Map for Proposed
Reservoir Canyon Drain Extension as prepared by the City of Redlands
Engineering Department, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the District has indicated
a willingness to participate in the cost of the facilities, it is agreed
as follows:
The City shall.
1. Prepare detailed construction plans and specifications for
said facilities. Said plans and specifications together with
engineering computations must be submitted by City to the
Chief Engineer of the District and meet his requirements
and be approved by him.
2. Acquire all necessary rights of way and permits, and provide
for and effect all utility relocations as may be required.
3. Award construction contracts to the lowest qualified bidder
for said storm dramn as shown on approved plans and
specifications and effect construction of these facilities
in accordance with said plans and specifications.

. Duringthe course of construction, provide adequate inspection
of work performed and maintain daily inspection reports in
each foriq as approved by the District.
5.. Maintain a detailed record of all structural, changes authorized
ciuring construction and submit for District's prior approval
any contemplated major change to contract plans and specifications
deemed necessary during c0n$truction-
6. Upon completion of contract, submit a completion report and
"As Built" drawings to the District in such form as approved
by the District.
i. Maintain and operate the facilities when constructed in a
maintenance and from construction wor?a performed.
8. At intervals not to exceed one year, inspect all facilities
The District shall.
1. Upon presentation to it by the City of a proper claim
subsequent to JanuavY l., 1.953, in a form approved by District

and upon satisfactory completion of construction work exceeding
$72,000 in value as determined by progress reports certified
by the City Engineer and approved by the Chief Engineer of the
San Bernardino County Flood Control District, make payment
to the City in the sum of $72,000. It is understood that
all costs and obligations in excess of said $72,000 shall be
born by the City except for such further participation as
may be arrived at between the City and the District through
separate subsequent. agreements.
