HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_6-1974_CCv0001.pdf CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR STAFF SERVICES This agreement is entered into this day of `` LInI , 1974, by and between the City of Redlands, California, hereinafter referred to as the "City, " and John H. Wagner, a private consultant, hereinafter referred to as "Wagner" . WHEREAS, Wagner is a private consultant with sub- stantial experience in the field of Public Administration and Airport Management, and WHEREAS, City has a continuing requirement for on- call consultant services in the fields of Public Administration and Airport Mangement, and WEE REAS, Wagner is desirous of offering the City con- sultant services in these fields, and WHEREAS, the City wishes to avail itself of Wagner ' s consultant service, NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually agree as follows: 1) Scope of Service: a. Wagner agrees to provide advice and guidance to the City of Redlands in the area of Public Administration and Airport Management. Advice and guidance will be limited to conferring with city officials and employees designated by the City Manager. No manual or clerical-type work will be provided by Wagner. b. Wagner shall be available for advice and guidance at City Fall, or other areas so designated by the City Manager, not to exceed a total of forty-five (45) hours per month. 1) Scope of Service: (Cont 'd) c. Wagner shall be available to the City for advice and guidance by telephone, at reasonable times. d. Transportation. Wagner will be re- imbursed at the customary city rates for the use of his privately owned vehicle on city business, other than travel from Wagner ' s home to City Hall. Wagner will provide, at his expense, evidence of automobile liability and property damage in- surance coverage in amounts required of other city employees being reim- bursed for use of their privately owned vehicle on city business. e. Other Expenses. Wagner will be reimbursed by the City for any travel, meals, or lodging expense incurred while on city business out- side of Redlands, as authorized by the City Manager. 2) Payment: The City will pay the following to Wagner for consultant services as specified above: a. As a retainer for the period February 1, 1974 to June 30, 1974, the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100) per month. b. For each hour of consultant service, (other than telephone advice) , at the rate of Twelve Dollars ($12) with a minimum payment for each period worked at City Hall, or any other area desig- nated by the City Manager, of Forty- eight Dollars ($48} . C. Payment will be made on the 10th of the following month for consultant services rendered on the preceding month. Consultant Agreement Page 2 2) Payment: (Cont 'd) d. Payment will be made by the City as billed by the consultant. Requests for reimbursement of travel and mileage expenses will be made by the consultant on the authorized voucher forms. The City Manager is the approving authority for all consultant billings and reimbursement vouchers. 3) Term: a. This agreement is in effect and may not be cancelled during the period February 1, 1974 to June 30, 1974. 4) Extension: a. By mutual agreement of both parties, this agreement may be extended on a month-to- month basis. This extension includes both retainer and hourly services as specified. 5) Termination: a. After June 30, 1974, this agreement may be terminated by either party giving the other thirty (30) days written notice of termina- tion.
