This AGREEMENT made and entered into on -the 7th day
of January, 1965, by and between the CITY OF REDLANDS, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter called the "City", and the REDLANDS
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, a California Corporation, hereinafter called
"Chamber of Commerce".
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, in consideration of the premises aforesaid, all
laws governing such matters, and -the several and mutual promises
and agreements hereinafter contained, the parties hereto do covenant
and agree on this 7th day of January, 1965, as follows:
1. City agrees to transfer funds in the amount of
Ten Thousand ($10,000) Dollars for the express
support and financial contribution to the
REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, (REDCO)
for the purpose of promoting economic growth
and development in the Redlands, Loma Linda,
Colton, Rialto, San Bernardino area. The
financial contribution to REDCO shall be no
less than Ten Thousand ($10,000) Dollars,
Five Thousand ($5,000) Dollars payable forth-
with and Five Thousand ($5,000) Dollars payable
on March 1, 1965, provided that lesser contri-
bution may be permitted by motion of the City
Council and in no event shall such contribution
be made unless and until the Cities of Colton,
Rialto and San Bernardino have contributed to
said Council (REDCO) those sums of monies
pledged by said cities in accordance with the
schedule dated October 20, 1964 on file in the
office of the City Manager of the City. The
Chamber of Commerce and REDCO shall execute an
agreement which shall provide that each shall
comply with any requirement established by the
City concerning use of said sum.
2. Chamber of Commerce shall submit a written report
'to the Mayor and City council at the end of the
fiscal year 1964-65 or earlier or at such other
times as may be required by the Mayor and city
Council showing an accounting of such funds
transferred to the Chamber of Commerce by the
City.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Redlands, pursuant to
-the action of its City Council, has authorized this Agreement to
be executed by its City Manager and attested by its City Clerk and
the said Chamber of Commerce has caused the Agreement to be exe-
cuted by its proper officers.
