THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this /, ; day of January, 1961, by
Matich Corporation and the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation, for the
purpose of supplying plant-mixed paving materials, screenings, asphaltic emulsion
for seal coat, liquid asphalts, and equipment rental for the period from
January 1, 1961 to January 1, 1965.
Item 1. For furnishing 6,000 tons more or less of dense graded
plant- nixed asphaltic paving material, which shall meet
the specifications of Section 39 of the Standard Speci-
fications of the State of California, dated January, 1960.
(a) F.O.B. Matich Redlands plant to the City of Redlands
trucks 3 92 per ton
(b) F.O.E. jobs within the corporate limits of the City
of Redlands a,.82 per ton
Item 2. 4,000 tons, more or less, of open graded plant-mixed
asphaltic paving material, which shall meet the speci-
fications of Section 39-2.06 of the aforesaid Standard
Specifications.
(a) F.O.B. Matich Redlands plant to the City of Redlands
trucks $ .92 per ton
(b) F.O.B. jobs within the corporate limits of the City
of Redlands 5.82 per ton
Item 3. 200 tons, more or less, of rock screenings, which shall
meet the specifications for fine type seal coat of
Section 37 of the aforesaid Standard Specifications.
(a) F.O.B. jobs within the corporate limits of the City
of Redlands . t 1 .50 per ton
Item 4. 5,000 gallons, more or less, of asphaltic emulsion, which
shall meet the specifications for high viscosity emulsion
of Section 9i of the aforesaid Standard Specifications.
(a) F.O.B. jobs within the corporate limits of the City
of Redlands 0.20 per gallon
Item 5. 5,000 gallons, more or less, of liquid asphalts, to meet
Specifications of Section 93 of Standard Specifications.
(a) F.O.B. jobs within the corporate limits of the City
of Redlands $ 0.20 per gallon
Item 6. For furnishing the following equipment, operated and
maintained, including transportation to and from the job.
(a) Barber-Green finishing machine $ 30.00 per hour
(b) Asphaltic Emulsion Distributor Equipment,
minimum 400 gallon capacity $ 15.00 per hour
(c) Tandem Roller, five to eight ton . . . $ 15.00 per hour
(d) Pneumatic-tired Roller $ 15.00 per hour
The price per gallon quoted under Item L above includes all costs in ordering
material, and also includes the cost of the distributor truck and any overtime in
excess of the two hours spreading time which is normal for this operation.
For the application of penetration type emulsion for use as a tack coat for
plant-mixed surfacing, the hourly rental rate for the distributor truck shall be
as quoted in Item 6 (b). A charge of $0.14 per gallon will be made for the
penetration type emulsion used as tack coat for plant-mixed surfacing.
