HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_14-1974_CCv0001.pdf _AGREaMENT This agreement by and between the City of Redlands, sometimes called "City" and MELVY'N POER, also referred to as "Consultant, " is dated this day of May 1974. For and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, City agrees as follows: 1) To engage Consultant under contract with the City as "Community Development Coordinator, " to perform services related to policies, procedures, and matters in the field of community development and to advise and assist City in the acquisition and management of properties required to implement and carry out the Redevelopment Plan of the City of Redlands and other community developments as directed by City. Consultant will perform said services with respect to the current fifteen acre core area development now in progress, the total five hundred acre Redevelopment Project area under the jurisdiction of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands, together with industrial development programs as directed. 2) To compensate Consultant for such services at the following rate: $17, 500 annually, payable in equal monthly installments. This rate is based upon an average work week of three days per week. It is anticipated that work load and time required will vary throughout the year, however, Consultant agrees to work the hours required to accomplish the contracted services. 3) To engage Consultant for such periods of time each month and during such hours of any day during which Consultant' s services are required by the City to discharge his duties as described in Paragraph 1 hereof. Consultant Agreement Page 2 For and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the Consultant agrees as follows : 1) To diligently and promptly perform services as Community Development Coordinator to the city on policies, procedures, and matters arising in the fields of development and redevelopment, and as an advisor to the Redevelopment Agency in the acquisition, construction, development, and management of properties required by the Redevelop- ment Agency to implement and carry out the Redevelopment Plan of the City of Redlands and other community developments as directed. 2) To be compensated for such services as enumerated above. 3) To perform said services during the periods of time each month and during such hours of any day during which Consultant ' s services are required by City to perform and discharge his duties as described in Paragraph 1 hereof. The parties hereto agree that this agreement may be terminated by either party upon giving 30-day notice in writing, or any time by mutual agreement of the parties in writing. Consult- 4Fack B.
