Recitals
WHF-REAS Shell Oil Company, their assignees, heirs, and successors
in interest, hereinafter called Shell have requested of the City of
Redlands, and have installed, a Sire hydrant assembly For the purpose
of fire protection to their real property located in the County of
San Bernardino, State of California, said fire hydrant assembly is
located as follows:
Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1, La Drew Subdivision,
as per Map recorded in. Book 12, Page 44 of imps, in the
Office of the County Recorder of said County.
Shell's property being a portion of _Lot 1, Block 1, Imo: Drew _
Subdivision in the County of San Bernardino State of California.
WHEREAS Shell has paid for the installation of said fare hydrant
assembly, it is hereby agreed by the City of Redlands and Shell that
SI-1e115 their assignees, heirs, and successor's in interest, shall
pay 1.00 per month as a reasonable charge for maintenance of the
fire hydrant assembly. Said amount, TV�o Dollars, shall be added to
the bi-monthly city services bill_.
In the event such costs or monthly charges have not been -;,,.)tally
paid, the City shall have the right, upon, giving ten daps notice in
writing to Shell, to remove the fire hydrant assembly, without
refunding any part of the cost paid for installation, or the charge
provided for maintenance of the Fire hydrant assembly.
This Agreement shall constitute a covenant running with the
land which shall be binding upon all assignees, heirs, and
successors in interest of Shell Oil Company.
In the event of annexation of this property to the City of
Redlands, it is understood that this monthly charge shall cease
effective as of the date of annexation.
