FOR THE DESIGN OF THE REDLANDS BOULEVARD AT ALABAMA
STREET AND COLTON AVENUE PROJECT
This third amendment ("Third Amendment") to the agreement to provide services for the
design of the Redlands Boulevard at Alabama Street and Colton Avenue project dated October 19,
2004, (the "Agreement")by and between the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation ("City"),
and Parsons Brinkerhoff,Inc. ("Consultant-),is made and entered into this 17'h day of January,2012.
RECITALS
WHEREAS,it is the desire of City and Consultant to amend Exhibit A to the Agreement for
the provision of additional services by Consultant and to correspondingly increase Consultant's
compensation for the same. City and Consultant hereby agree as follows:
AGREEMENT
Section 1. Exhibit"A"to the Agreement is hereby amended to include a new paragraph
F to read as follows:
"17. 1. Revise design plans (demolition, street improvements, signage and
striping, storm drain, cross sections, traffic signal modifications,traffic
handling, detour) to eliminate the south-bound, third lane on Alabama
Street and the west-bound third lane on Redlands Boulevard.
2. Prepare street lighting plans using LED bulbs.
3- Update G088 permit at Colton Avenue crossing and process G088 permit
at Alabama Street
4. Prepare As-built plans at conclusion of construction and provide final
updated set to the City for approval.
5. Provide utility coordination for dry utilities.
6. Update of property values for remaining parcels to be acquired.
7. Provide a traffic analysis for the Redlands/Alabama intersection based
upon Wal-Mart's proposed traffic volumes."
Section.2. Section 5.1 of the Agreement,entitled"Compensation,"is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"5.1 Compensation. The total compensation for Consultant's performance of the Services
shall not exceed the amount of 5788,565. City shall pay Consultant on a time and materials basis up
to such amount, in accordance with Exhibit"C"entitled"Service Fee,"and based upon the hourly
rates shown in Exhibit"D," entitled"Rate Schedule."
All other provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
