HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_227-2012_CCv0001.pdf FOURTH AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN OF THE REDLANDS BOULEVARD AT ALABAMA STREET AND COLTON AVENUE PROJECT This fourth amendment("Fourth Amendment")to the agreement to provide services for the design of the Redlands Boulevard at Alabama Street and Colton Avenue project dated October 19, 2004, (the"Agreement") by and between the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation("City"), and Parsons Brinkerhoff. Inc. ("Consultant"), is made and entered into this 6th day-of November, 2012. RECITALS WHEREAS,it is the desire of City and Consultant to amend Exhibit"A"to the Agreement for the provision of additional services by Consultant and to correspondingly increase Consultant's compensation for the same. City and Consultant hereby agree as follows: AGREEMENT Section 1. Exhibit"A"to the Agreement is hereby amended to include a new paragraph G to read as follows: "G. I. Revise all design plans and specifications, including but not limited to demolition, street improvements, signage and striping, storm drain, cross sections, traffic signal modification, detour plan, and necessary permitting, to allow the project to be bid and constructed in two phases, the first phase being the Redlands Boulevard and Alabama Street intersection and the second phase being the Redlands Boulevard and Colton Avenue intersection. 2. Provide traffic studies that identify traffic levels of service for current conditions and future conditions with and without the Redlands Passenger Rail project. 3. Provide all coordination with Southern California Edison for the removal and/or relocation of all existing infrastructure. 4. Provide project schedule sequencing for the completion of the design phase efforts." Section 2. Section 5.1 of the Agreement,entitled"Compensation,"is hereby amended to read as follows: "5.1 Compensation. The total compensation for Consultant's performance of the Services shall not exceed the amount of$863,565. City shall pay Consultant on a time and materials basis up to such amount, in accordance with Exhibit"C"entitled"Service Fee,"and based upon the hourly rates shown in Exhibit"D," entitled "Rate Schedule.,' All other provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. 1.'leaidjm?Agreements',,Parsons Brinkerhoff4th AmendmentA 1 06,12.doc IN WITNESS WHEREOF,the parties have executed this Fourth Amendment,to be effective as of November 6,2012.
