3 Police or his authorized agent, and whereupon the City of Redlands
4 Chief of Police or his authorized agent will issue a lice0000 upon

8 the San :Sernare ino City Pound by the City of Redlands Chief of Polic
9 or his authorized agent for observation, and in tine event of destruct
10 tion of said dog. or other vicious animals upon order of said City of
11 Redlands. Chief of Police or his authorized agent, then said City of
12 San Bernardino shall be paid the sum of one dollar ($1.00) for said
13 disposal.

15 posal of dead dogs the sum of one dollar ($1.00) , and the sum of
16 one dollar (01.00 shall be charged for the disposal of live

17 under three ( ) months of age; the fee for the disposal of dead cats
18 shall be the sum of fifty cents (500) for each cat or kitten.
19 9., That the City of San Bernardino shall present a bill on
20 the first day of eat& and every month for all chareee made during
21 the prior month, which said bill Shall he paid by the City of
22 Redlands not later than the twenty-fifth day of said month.

10. That this agreement may be terminated by either ?arty

thereto upon the giving of a written notice of termination of sixty

(60) days prior to said termination. This 411000ment terminates that

certain agreement between the parties het******4 August 22, 195S.

6 SECTION ON2 That the City of San Bernardino enter into
7 and execute an agreement with the City of Redlands for use of the
8 City of San Bernardino Dog Pound Facilities.
9 SECTION TWO% That said agreement, a copy of which is
10 attached hereto, marked Exhibit "An and referred to and made a
11 part hereof as fully as though set forth at length herein„ is
12 hereby approved.
13 SECTION TERM That the Mayor and City Administrator of
14 the City of San Bernardino are hereby authorised and directed to
15 execute said agreement on behalf of said City.
16 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
17 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bar-
18 nardino at a meeting thereof, held on

NEW BUSINESS
Resolution Resolution No. 2708, a resolution of the City of Redlands
No. 2708 excluding part-time hourly employees from participation
in the retirement system, was unanimously adopted on
Retirement motion of Councilman Cummings, seconded by Councilman
System DeMirjyn.
An agreement for use by the City of Redlands of the dog
Agreement pound facilities of the City of San Bernardino, replac-
Dog Pound ing the original agreement dated August 22, 1958, and
providing for a doubling of the fees, was unanimously
approved on motion of Councilman DeMirjyn, seconded by
Councilman Martinez, with the Mayor authorized to sign
Ordinance No 1378, an ordinance of the City of Redlands
which amends the Code of the City of Redlands to adjust
fees in accordance with the above agreement, was given
first reading of the title and laid over, with second
reading to be at the next Council meeting
CITY MANAGER
Authorization to call for bids on the furnishing and
installation of water pipe for the Agate Reservoir and
Sand Canyon Road (to serve Crafton College) was re-
quested. Director of Public Works Shone informed Coun-
cil that the Board of Directors of Valley College have
Bid Call approved the agreement with the City of Redlands for
Pipe water service to the new college, He requested an
Installation additional appropriation from Legal and Capital Fund
Reserve for the cost over the amount budgeted for
Agate Avenue pipeline, and for the City' s participa-
tion in construction of Sand Canyon pipeline. On mo-
tion of Councilman Martinez, seconded by Councilman
DeMirjyn, the City Clerk was authorized to call for
bids on the above described projects, and unanimous
approval was given for transfer of $60, 000 from Legal
and Capital Fund Reserve to the Legal and Capital Fund
budget.
On motion of Councilman Cummings, seconded by Council-
man DeMirjyn, authorization was given for the City to
Lease- enter into a five-year lease-purchase agreement with
Purchase the Johnson Tractor Company for a new Caterpillar D-6
Bulldozer Series C bulldozer, with trade-in.y and the allocation
of $4, 900 from General Fund Surplus to cover monthly
payments for the remainder of this fiscal year Motion
seconded by Councilman DeMirjyn and carried unanimous-
ly.
