California, hereinafter called "Contractor". The City and the Contractor agree as follows: 1. The Contractor hereby agrees to furnish all labor, materials and equipment for the disking, mowing, burning; and re;r:oving of all weeds, grasses and Avasto material in the manner and at the locations as specified in Exhibit 1, a tac}lf--d hereto and made a part of this contract. 2. The complete contract includes: (a) Specifier l.> ('ris Cor weed abatement and waste removal, (b) the Contractor's iriri kir proposal, and (c) this agreement. These contract cnCt:;:;r .t,re intended to be correlative and constitute the Contractor'.-, nt?r-- f:ori=iance obligations. The specific terms and cond �-i ; -,i,s this contract document shall control and. have orececl(.-nct, �� r any contradictory or inconsistent terms and conditions in the a#'orementioned contract documents and shall be uo;�t in questions of interpretation. 3. The Contractor shall, perform the work under this contract at the tames and places designated by the Fire Chief, City of Redlands, or his designated representative. 4. The term of this contract is a period of two (2) years commencing T�arch 1, 1969 and terminating on Larch k, 1971 . prior to the execution of the contract by the City, the Contractor shall secure and maintain during the life of the contract such public liability and property damage insurance as shall protect it from claims for damages for personal injury, including accidental death, as well as from claims for property damage which may arise from operations under this contract, whether such operations be by itself or by anyone directly or indirectly employed by it. The amounts of such insurance shall be as follows; Public liability insurance in an amount not less than 6100,000 for injuries, including accidental death, to any one person and subject to the same limit for each person in an amount not less than 13009000 on account of one accident and property damage insurance in an amount not less than 0"50,000. Policies or certificates in a form acceptable to the City evidencing the above required coverage shall be filed with the City and shall include the City as an additional insured. The policy shall not be cancelled or coverage reduced without thirty days' prior written notice to the City of Redl:lnds. 6. The Contractor shall provide and maintain adequate Workmen's Compensation Insurance as is prescribed by law to cover all employees and workmen for all work performed under this contract. 7. Payment for work completed and accepted will be made fifteen (15) days after the start of the .Lain weed season and at fifteen (15) day intervals thereafter. Invoices in dut)licate shall be submitted to the Fire Department. Miter approval, they will be processed for payment. The Fire Chief shall decide all questions %%,hich may arise as to the quality or acceptability of work performed, and as to the manner of performance and rate of progress of the work and all questions which arise as to the in- terpretation of the specifications. 1z is agreed that all work done by the contractor and his employees is subject, to acceptance by and final approval of the Fire Chief. 7. All equipment and tools are to be furnished, fully op- erated and maintained by the contractor. There grill be no extra charge made to the City for same. A11 fuel, materials, supplies, etc., are to be furnished at no extra charge to the City. B. DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS 1. Disking Parcels of land shall be disked with an approved offset disk, at a sufficient uopth to place the tweeds under the finished soil surface. Disking shall be performed in such a manner as to com- pletely eliminate all standing weeds. If there is no improved sides,*all. that portion of the land usually designated as sidewalk and/or parklvay is to be part of the lot or parcel of land and shall not be cons4dorod separately.
