LICENSE FOR ATTACHMENTS

It is agreed 19 between City of Redlands
a municipal , n corporation, hereinafter called Licensor, and GENERAL
TELEPHONE COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA, a corporation, hereinafter called Licensee, as follows:
1. Licensor gives to Licensee, without charge, the right, commencing with the i st
day of August , 1969, to cons�ge,�'] n aienvao f operate, add to, replace and remove a buried
telephone cable within/the East 1 acres souof the South 13a� of the northeast Quarter
of Section 21, Township 1 South, Range 3 West, S,B, & Ma
in the County of San Bernardino State of California, as shown upon Drawing S-562-020

dated June 26 , 1969, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
2. Any facilities of Licensee constructed or attached under this License shall be placed
at the sole cost and expense of Licensee, and shall be maintained in good order and repair and to the
satisfaction of Licensor. All such facilities shall conform to existing and future laws, ordinances,
regulations, orders and decrees of all duly constituted bodies and tribunals having jurisdiction
thereover.
3. Licensee hereby recognizes the title and interest of Licensor in and to the above
described property and agrees never to assail or resist Licensor's title or interests therein. No use
of Licensor's facilities, however extended, shall vest in Licensee any property right in such facilities.
4. Licensee may trim trees as necessary, provided, however, that no trimming of
trees situated along a state highway shall be done by Licensee without having first applied for and
obtained an encroachment permit for that purpose from the California Division of Highways.
5. Licensee agrees to indemnify and save Licensor harmless from any and all loss,
damage and liability, including liability to third persons, caused by any negligent act or omission on
the part of said Licensee arising out of the construction, maintenance and operation of said attachments,
or by failure of Licensee to perform any of the covenants or conditions herein contained.
6. This License may be terminated by either party at any time upon thirty days' previous
notice in writing to the other, provided, that Licensor shall not terminate this License as long as said
attachments are required in providing telephone service at the above described property of Licensor.
In the event of such termination, Licensee shall remove its attachments within said thirty -day period
at its own risk and expense. Should Licensor be required by any governmental agency during the term
hereof to alter, rearrange, relocate or remove its facilities or a portion, thereof, Licensee shall
forthwith upon notice, alter, rearrange, relocate or remove its facilities as may be required by such
governmental agency.
7. Licensee shall pay before delinquency all taxes anal/or assessments levied uponany
and all of the facilities placed on such poles by Licensee.
8. The rights and duties of Licensee hereunder are not transferable without thewritten
consent of Licensor.

e,--` 9. Any notice provided for herein may be given by depositing in a United States Post
Office, postage prepaid, a sealed envelope containing a copy of such notice and addressed to the party
to be notified at its principal place of business.
