1 ThIS AGRUELNT, made this 7 day of 1955, by and
2 between the City of Redlands, California, a municioal corporation, first party,
3 and Roy V. Shutt of Calimesa, California, second party,
4 VIITALSSETd.
5 The parties hereto for the berm of one (1) yy commencing on the
6 r; day of 1955, and ending on the _5/ day of
7 1955, do hereby agree as follows.
8 That the said first party in consideration of the convenants on the
9 part of the said second party herein contained, hereby agrees with the said
10 second party, to allow and permit second party to have an exclusive contract
11 for collection of aPProximately one (I) ton of garbaLe per day six (6) days a
12 week from restaurants, hotels, markets, schools and hospitals within said City
13 of Redlands under the supervision of the City Disposal Superintendent, said
14 second party to use his own equipment and employees in collection of said
15 garbage.
16 That the second party in consideration of the said covenants on the
17 part of the first party, agrees to and with the said first party, to collect
18 approximately one (1) ton of garbage a day from restaurants, hotels, markets,
19 schools and hospitals within said City, six (6) days per week, with his own
20 equipment and emoloyees under the direction of the Disposal Superintenuent as
21 above set forth, and that said second party will pay to the said first party,
22 or its order, the sum of Twenty-five Dollars ( 2 coo) per month, payable in
23 advance On the /e—rday of each month in said term.

That it is mutually agreed that this contract may be cancelled and
25
abrogated by first party, said City of Redlands, upon First Party servinL to
26 Second Party a thirty (30) day notice in writing of iLs Intention to cancel
27 said contract.
28 It is mutually understood that the said First Party will be diligent
29 _al its efforts to Prevent any other party during the term of this contract
30
from collecting green cuttings or garbage from restaurants, hotels, markets,
31
schools and hospitals within the Gity, provided, however, that the within
32 contract is in full force and effect.
1 Second Party agrees to post the sum of One Hundred Dollars (3100.00)
2 with said First Party, in lieu of a faithful performance bond, and agrees to
3 forfeit the same to First Party should he fail to perform under the terms of
4 the within contract in a good and workmanlike manner to the satisfaction of
5 the City Disposal Superintendent.
6 IT WITNESS WHEREOF, The City of Redlands has caused its corporate
7 name to be subscribed by the Mayor and the City Clerk and has caused its -
8 corporate seal to be attached, as First Party, and the said Roy V. Shutt has
9 hereunto placed his hand and seal, as Second Party,

1 THIS AGREEMENT, made this day of 1955, by and

4 WITNESSETH:
5 The parties hereto for the term of one (1) year commencing on the

8 That the said first party in consideration of the convenants on the
9 part of the said second party herein contained, hereby agrees with the A,lid
10 second party„ to allow and permit second party to have an exclusive contract

12 week from restaurants, hotels, markets, schools and hospitals within said City
13 of Red/ands under the supervision of the City Disposal Superintendent, said

or its order, the sum of Twenty-five Dollars ($2.5400) per month, payable in
23
advance on the /b -day of each month in said term.

That it is mutually agreed that this contract may be cancelled and
25
abrogated by first party, said City of Redlands, upon 'irat Party serving to
26
Second Party a thirty (30) day notice iflwriting of its intention to cancel
27
said contract.

It is mutually understood that the said First Party will be diligent
29
in its efforts to prevent any other party during the term of this contract
30
from collecting green cuttings or garbage from restaurants, hotels, markets,
31
schools and hospitals within the City, provided, however, that the within
32
contract is in Pull force and effect,
1 Second Party agrees to post the sum of One Hundred Dollars ( 100.00)
2 with said First Party, in lieu of a faithful performance bond, and agrees to
3 forfeit the same to First Party should he fail to perform under the terms of
4 the within contract in a good and workmanlike manner to the satisfaction of
5 the City Disposal Superintendent.
6 IT WITNESS WHEREOF, The City of Redlands has caused its corporate
7 name to be subscribed by the Mayor and the City Clerk and has caused its '
8 corporate seal to be attached, as First Party, and the said Roy V. Shutt has
