The parties to this agreement, dated this % 7 � day
of1970, are the City of Redlands, a Municipal

Corporation, hereinafter called "City" and Kenneth B. Sample and
Claire W. Sample, husband and wife, including all assignees, heirs,
mortgagees, and successors in interest, hereinafter called "Owners".
Recitals
WHEREAS, the City contemplates the installation of a traffic
control signal system with safety lighting and construction of
roadway improvements at the intersection of Sixth Street and

Redlands Boulevard, all of which is situated within the City of:
Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the installation of the traffic control signal
system and roadway improvements will be mutually beneficial to
the Owner and the City; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to meter the electrical power used
by the proposed traffic control signal system; and
WHEREAS, there is no place of safety and convenience to affix
the meter within the area of the proposed work; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth B. Sample and Claire W. Sample, husband and
wife, are the listed owner of the property described as Lot 7 of
Block 14, of a portion of Redlands Town Plat as recorded in Book S,
page 10 of maps in the office of the County Recorder, County of
Mix
San Bernardino, State of California, and owner of the building
situated thereon;
FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants contained
herein, the parties agree as follows:
Owners Agree:
(1) To permit the City to affix the meter on the outside of
the back or north wall of their building.
(2) To allow the meter to remain affixed to the wall until
such time as it would interfere with any alterations or operations
of the building,
(3) To provide the City with a written notice of ninety (90)
calendar days to remove the meter.
City a ees:
(1) To install the meter in a neat and workmanlike manner
to the satisfaction of the Owners and in the location designated
by the Owners.
(2) To pay all costs connected with the installation of the
meter.
(3) To remove the meter within 90 days after receiving written
notice to do so, consistent with the terms of this agreement.
(4) To pay all costs for the removal of the meter and to patch
any holes in the wall caused by the installation, and to repaint the
immediate area where the meter was located with a paint matching
