Shutt of 7 Calimesa, California, called "Contractor" . 8 WITNESSETH 9 The parties hereto for the term of one (1) year com- 10 mencing on the 1st day of January, 1971, and ending on the 31st 11 day of December, 1971, do hereby agree as follows . 12 That the City in consideration of the covenants on the 13 part of the Contractor herein contained, hereby agrees with the 14 said Contractor to allow and permit him to have an exclusive con-- 15 tract for collection of approximately one (1) ton of garbage per 16 day, six (6) days a week from restaurants, hotels , markets, 17 schools and hospitals within said City of Redlands under the super- 18 vision of the City Disposal Superintendent, said Contractor to use 19 his own equipment and employees in collection of said garbage. 20 That the Contractor in consideration of the said 21 covenants on the part of the City, agrees to and with the City, 22 to collect approximately one (1) ton of garbage a day from 23 restaurants , hotels, markets, schools and hospitals within said 24 City, six (6) days per week, with his own equipment and employees 25 under the direction of the Disposal Superintendent as above set 26 forth, and that said Contractor will pay to the City, or its 27 order, the sum of One Dollar ($1 00) per year, payable in advance 28 That it is mutually agreed that this contract may be 29 cancelled and abrogated by either party upon service of a thirty 30 (30) day notice in writing of its intention to cancel said con- 31 tract. 32 That the Contractor shall exercise this contract subject 1 to the supervision and direction. of Lhe City Disposal Superinten- 2 dent and shall follow no practices or methods for the removal or 3 collection of garbage expressly prohibited by said Superintendent. 4 That the Contractor, during the term hereof, shall have 5 issued and in force, certificates and policies of insurance suf- 6 ficient to protect the City in the amount of $100, 000. 00 for pub- 7 lic liability and $50, 000 . 00 for property damage, and Workmen ' s 8 Compensation Insurance. The City shall have the right to approve 9 the insurance carrier. The parties hereto for the term of one (1) year commencing on the 1st day of January , 1961, and ending on the 31st day of December, 1961, do hereby agree as follows- That the City in consideration of the covenants on the part of the Contractor herein contained, hereby agrees with the said Contractor to allow and permit him to have an exclusive contract for collection of approximately one (1) ton of garbage per day, six (6) days a week from restaurants, hotels, markets, schools and hospitals within said City of Redlands under the supervision of the City Disposal Superintendent, said Contractor to use his own equipment and employees in collection of said garbage. That the Contractor, during the term hereof, shall have issued and in force, certificates and policies of insurance sufficient to protect the City in the amount of $50,000.00 for public liability and $$1°,000.00 for property damage, and Workmenrs Compensation Insurance.
