SIXTH AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT TO FURNISH CONSULTING SERVICES FOR
PHASE 1 OF THE REDLANDS SPORTS PARK
This Agreement is made and entered into this fifth day of August 2003,by and between the
City of Redlands, a municipal corporation("City"), and STB Landscape Architects("Consultant").
In consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, City and Consultant agree to the
following amendments to the Agreement to Furnish Consulting Services dated January 18, 2002
(hereinafter the "Agreement"):
Section 1. In addition to those services listed in Exhibit "A" to the Agreement, Consultant
shall provide additional services as listed in Appendix 1.
Section 2. In addition to the compensation payable to Consultant in Section 5.1 of the
Agreement, Consultant shall be paid the additional sum of$20,000.00 for the additional services
described in Section 1, above. The total compensation now payable to Consultant pursuant to the
Agreement is $166,044.74.
2004. Section 3. Consultant's Services under the Agreement shall now be completed by June 10,
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,duly authorized representatives of the parties have signed in confirmation
of this First Amendment to Agreement.

Subject: Redlands Sports Park, Additional Services
Dear Bill,
The following is in response to your request for a proposal for revisions to the current contract for
professional services for the Redlands Sports Park to revise the plans as directed by staff. It is
understood that the final decision on which is the best route to reduce costs has not been determined.
STB and our Consultant's are providing bids based on a hourly not-to-exceed basis. This will allow
flexibility in the final design direction.
Elimination/Relocation of Soccer Fields:
It is understood that the additional services includes altering the existing plans for the Soccer portion
of the sports park. We will provide services as needed to reduce the current scope of the project from
eight, full sized (225 feet x 330 feet) soccer fields to four fields. This will be accomplished b either
"clipping"the current design to remove four of the alreadym desi y
our new field
to the west of the current fields in the "borrow"area. The restroom building willsbgeneliminat d froms
the plans and a graded pad established for future construction of the building.
A. Gradine Plan
STB Landscape Architect's consultant,Mapco,will revise the existing plans or provide
a complete precise grading plans for the new four fields. Design work will be based
upon the adjacent grading plan prepared by Mapco.
B. La(out and Construction Plan
A revised construction plan will be prepared that indicates all site improvements and
facilities on the project site.A construction layout/dimension plan will be provided for
all the improvements that will allow location of said elements for construction.

An revised irrigation plan will be prepared to either `clip out four fields or provide
designs for the new four fields. The irrigation design will provide all equipment and
piping layouts, water usage calculations and will be designed within the City's 'water
window' of allowable water time.
E. Landscape Plan
An revised planting plan will be prepared to either `clip out four fields or provide
designs for the new four fields. The planting plan will indicate all plant materials to be
used, soil amendment specifications,mow curbing and other elements
detailed planting plan. Soils testing will be provided to determine the agronomsfor a
ic needs
of the proposed plant materials.
F. Lig Plan
STB Landscape Architect's consultant, Redlands Engineering, will revise the current
plans to allow for whatever adjustments are needed after the final design has been
reached.
Design-Fees:
The fees for these,additional services are to be billed at our hourly fees not to exceed eed the foIIowing
Civil Engineering:

Landscape Architecture:
