Subject: Redlands Sports Parr, Additional Services
Dear Bill,
The following is in response to your request for a proposal for revisions to the current contract for
professional services for the Redlands Sports Park.
Expansion of Parking Area:
Our design team shall provide working drawings for the expansion of the parking lot west of that in our
current scope of work to the Dearborn Street frontage. The design will include grading, lighting,
irrigation and planting elements. Our design services will assume that the drainage from this area will
be surface flows in a westerly direction, exiting at the entrance on Dearborn Street. This design will be
compatible with the preliminary master plan prepared for the `Big League Dreams" facility and will
accept and carry flows for the entire parking area of the proposed facility. The extent of the design
details will be exclusive to the hard surface areas only.Details of the wildlife corridor, equestrian trail
and other `green belt' features will be left to the `Big League Dreams" design team.
Dearborn Street Entry Isle:
Our design team will provide a design for the completion of the main drive isle in our current scope of
work westerly to the Dearborn Street frontage. The design of the entry drive will take into account such
factors as vehicle stacking, turn lanes and pockets, the design speed, sight distances and pedestrian
circulation. It is assumed that the desired location of the entry drive is as currently depicted on the
master plan prepared by the `Big League Dreams"design team. As such, the proposed location of the
entry drive intersects with the `outside curve' heading northbound on Dearborn Street. The impact of
this location on the design criteria will be carefully evaluated.
