2 (dog pound - Redlands )
3 THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT, made and entered into in
4 San Bernardino, California, this 17th day of August , 1971,
5 by and between the CITY OF SAN BERNAR.DINO, a municipal corpora-
tion, hereinafter called "City", and the CITY OF REDLANDS,
7 California, hereinafter called "Redlands".
8 WITNESSET H :
9 IT IS AGREED that certain Agreement between the parties
10 hereto dated September 1, 1970 is hereby amended to read as
11 follows :
12 (1) Paragraph 3 of said Agreement is amended to read as
13 follows :
14 "3. ThatRedlands shall pay to said City of San Bernardino
15 the sum of six dollars ($6 00) for each and every dog brought to
16 the San Bernardino City Pound by the City of Redlands Humane
17 Officer, "
18 (2) Paragraph LI of said Agreement is amended to read as
19I follows •
20 "4. That it is agreed that upon Redlands delivering a dog,
21 together with a bona fide request by the owner for immediate
22 disposal thereof, said dog being from within the corporate limits
23 of the City of Redlands then San Bernardino pursuant to said
24 authorization shall dispose of said dog and shall charge six
25 dollars ($6. 00) , said charge including the charge or cost of
26 gassing or other means of disposal. "
27 (3) Paragraph 5 of said Agreement is amended to read as
28 follows :
29 "5 . ThatRedlands agrees to pay the sum of six dollars
30 ($6. 00) for each and every stray dog brought into the pound by
31 anyone from within the corporate limits of the City of Redlands .
32 The person delivering said dog shall sign a stub or delivery
sheet .

1 (4) Paragraph 8 of said Agreement is amended to read as
2 follows .
3 "8. That City shall charge for the disposal of dead dogs
4 the sum of two dollars ($2 .00) and the sum of one dollar ($1 00)
5 shall be charged for the disposal of each live puppy under three
6 (3) months of age , when such disposal is authorized by the said
7 Humane Officer. The fee for the disposal of each live cat shall
8 be two dollars ($2 .00) , fifty cents (50 ) for each kitten and
9 fifty cents (50 ) for each dead cat . "
10 (5) This First Amendment to Agreement shall be effective
11 August 1, 1971.
12 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunto set
13 their hands and seals the day and year in this agreement first
14 above written.
