HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_11-1973AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT entered into this 13th day of February 3 1973, between the City of Redlands, hereinafter referred to as REDLANDS, and the City of Loma Linda, hereinafter referred to as LOMA LINDA, pertaining to the sale of certain water systems. WHEREAS, REDLANDS is currently providing water service in some areas generally west of Mt. View Avenue and south of Redlands Boulevard and west of Richardson Street and north of Redlands Boulevard, and WHEREAS, the water systems of REDLANDS and LOMA LINDA overlap in these areas, and WHEREAS, it is desirable to have we'' defined boundaries between adjacent water utilities. NOW THEREFORE, it is agreed as follows: 1. LOMA LINDA will pay to'REDLANDS the sum of $21,000.00. 2. REDLANDS will transfer to LOMA LINDA those water mains and appurtenant valves and fittings as shown on the attached REDLANDS drawings numbered B--80078, B-80079 and B-80080. 3. REDLANDS will transfer to LOMA LINDA those meters and services shown on the attached 7 sheets. 4. Box 280 Redlands, California 92373 The Loma Linda City Council has approved the agreement for the sale of certain Redlands water facilities in the City of Loma Linda. If you will have your council take appropriate action, the transfer can be achieved prior to April. I will have our Water Department staff coordinate the changeover with Mr. Shefchik if this is satisfactory to you. Merritt, Jr., City Manager SUBJECT: Sale of ';rater Facilities to Loma Linda In recent months, the Public Works staff - together with the Loma Linda staff, have been working on an agreement to sell certain water facilities of Redlands that are within the Loma Linda boundaries to that city. An agreement, satisfactory to both staffs of the two cities has been worked out and has been approved and signed by the Loma Linda Council. A copy of this agreement is attached and we will have it placed on he agenda of the next Council meeting for your approval. R. P.
