THIS INDENTURE, made this fs; day of jib FA7 , 1977,
by and between SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, a Delaware
corporation, herein termed "Railroad", and CITY OF REDLANDS, a municipal
corporation of the -State of California, P. 0. Ea.-, 280, Redlands,
California 92373, herein termed "Grantee";
WITNESSETH:
1. Railroad hereby grants to Grantee, subject to the reservations,
covenants and conditions herein contained, the right to construct,
reconstruct, maintain and operate water pipe line facilities, in, upo
along, across and beneath the property and tracks of Railroad at or n,
.near Motor Junction, in the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, as follows:
a. a 121' water pipe within a 20" casing at Engineer's
Station 55+35, Mile Post 545.6, in the location
shown on the print of Railroad's Drawing LADE-02,
dated July 27, 1977, attached and made a part hereof;
and
b. an 8" water pipe within a 16" casing at Engineer's
Station 18+15, Mile Post 544.8, in the location
shown on the print of Railroad's Drawing LADE-02,
Sheet No. 1, dated July 27, 1977, attached and
made a part hereof.
Said water pipelines and appurtenances shall hereinafter be
collectively referred to as "structure."
Said structure shall be installed in accordance with minimum
requirements of Form CS 1741, also attached and made a part hereof.
As a part consideration for the rights herein granted, Grantee
shall pay to Railroad the sum of $400.

He then added two paragraphs verbally to the draft which
he and the Councilmembers had in hand. One paragraph
Resolution referred to final approvals before January 1, 1977, on

City Manager Mitchell presented an agreement between the

Transpor- City Clerk to sign the agreement and including a payment

Grace, approval as requested was given by AYE votes of
all present.
_..W.. .._._w...___._- An agreement between the City and the Santa Fe Railroad
Agreement Company and a pipeline license in connection with the
installation of a required sewer main in Dearborn Street
Santa Fe under the existing railroad tracks for Tract No. 9330,
Railroad with the Mayor authorized to sign the agreement, was
Company approved on motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by
Councilwoman Grace.
Claims in the names of Dr. Camillo de Coro, Tommy Anthony
Roque, and Walter Willumson were denied in routine manner
Clams and referred to the City`s insurance carrier by AYE votes
of all present.
City Manager Mitchell presented a notice of transfer of
an Alcoholic Beverage Control license at 1221 North
Orange Street.
Proclamation Mayor DeMirjyn read in full. a Proclamation declaring
November 14-20 as Alcoholism Action Week.
Bills and salaries were ordered paid as approved by the
Finance Committee.
There being no further business, Council adjourned, on
motion, at 8:30 P.M.
Next regular meeting, November 15, 1977.
