HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_25-1978CONSULTANT AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT by and between the City of Redlands, California, herein referred to as "City' and Mrs. Jean Weber, also referred to as "Consultant" is dated this 1st day of June, 1978, For and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the City agrees as follows: I. To engage the Consultant under contract with the City as the Aide to the Director of the Joslyn Senior Center. Consultant will assist the Director in preparation of written reports, training and supervision of staff members, preparation of budget, preparation of grant proposals for private and public supplementary funds, publication of monthly "Newsletter", approvals of requests for use of Center facilities, scheduling the use of rooms, and providing for the comfort and safety of program participants. 2. To compensate Consultant for such service at the rate of $680 per month, payable $340 semi-monthly. It is anticipated that work load may vary, Consultant agrees to work the hours neces- sary to accomplish the contracted service. For and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the Consultant agrees as follows: A. To diligently and promptly perform services as Aide to Director of Joslyn Senior Center. B. To be compensated for such services as enumerated above. The parties hereto agree that employment will begin on June 26, 1978 and terminate June 25, 1979. Further, employment may be terminated by either party upon giving thirty (30) days notice, in writing, or any time by mutual agreement of the parties in writing. �_ mdzv zd:r:�4LIJ Rob rt H. PRESENT Oddie J. Martinez, Jr., Mayor Chresten M. Knudsen, Vice Mayor Charles G. DeMirjyn, Councilman Warren R. Elliott, Councilman Barbara Cram Riordan, Councilman Robert H. Mitchell, City Manager Bruce Atkins, Attorney Peggy A. Moseley, City Clerk Erwin S. Hein, Redlands Daily Facts Mike Murphy, San Bernardino Sun ABSENT None The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance. Mayor Martinez stated that this meeting was designated to consider the 1978/79 budget. APPOINTMENTS City Manager Mitchell presented the following names of citizens willing to serve on the Community Center Advi-- Community sory Board and asked that they be appointed: Jim Center Butler, Ray Jimenez, Anita Dimery, Sabino Guzman, Advisory Andrew Coyozo, Patricia Ashton, Helen Reynosa, Herbert Board Johnson, Joe Gonzales, Jr., Robert Best, and Paul McMillan. On motion of Councilman Knudsen, seconded by Councilman Elliott, these appointments were unani- mously approved. Mr. Mitchell stated that Messrs. Jerry Arendt and Dudley Airport Ketcherside have agreed to serve four -yeas terms on the and Airport Advisory Board, and William Buster to a four -- Personnel year term on the Personnel Advisory Board, and requested Advisory their reappointments. On motion of Councilman DeMirjyn, Boards seconded by Councilman Riordan, these appointments were unanimously approved. Contracts for the employment of Joslyn Senior Center Employment Director Frank Maloney and Assistant Jean Weber were Contracts unanimously approved on motion of Councilman Knudsen, seconded by Councilman Riordan.
