A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING THE NAMING OF THE POCKET PARK LOCATED AT LARAMIE
AVENUE AND LINCOLN STREET ALONG THE ZANJA TRAIL AND GREENWAY
PARK
WHEREAS, on July 21, 2015, the City Council added the development of the Zanja Trail and
Greenway Park to the City's Strategic Plan document as Objective D-11 under the Land Resource
Management Focus, and
WHEREAS, on December 1, 2015, the City Council approved the conceptual plan for Zanja Trail
and Greenway Park as developed by the Redlands Conservancy
WHEREAS, mcluded within that conceptual plan was a pocket park located at the northeast corner
of Laramie Avenue and Lincoln Street, and
WHEREAS, the 1.2 -acre pocket park was officially opened to the public on March 23, 2019,
WHEREAS, on February 21, 2017, City Council approved Resolution No 7711 establishing
procedures for the naming of City parks, buildings, streets and other public facilities ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows
Section 1 That the City Council of the City of Redlands names the pocket park located at the
northeast corner of Laramie Avenue and Lmcoln Street as "Laramie Park "
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND .APPROVED this 3rd day of September, 2019
