RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEED.

RESOLVED: That the Board of Trustees of the City of
Redlands accept that certain deed executed by Walter J. Hartzell
and wife to the City of Redlands , of date January 31st, 1922, T
conveying to said City a portion of Lot Three (3) ,in Block "J",
of the Second Preliminary hap of Redlands.--
I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true and
correct copy of a resolution adopted by the Board of Trustees
of the City of Redlands at a regular meeting of said Board.

GRANT DEED
FRED CHAMPION and ANNA CHAMPION, husband and wife, in con-
sideration of TEN DOLLARS to them in hand paid, the receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant to the CITY OF REDLANDS, for
alley purposes , all that portion of the property hereinafter de-
scribed lying Westerly of a line drawn parallel with and distant
196.36 feet Westerly from the Westerly line of Alvarado Street.
That portion of Lot 3 , in Block "J" of the Second Prelim-
inary Map of Redlands, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernar-
dino, State of California, per plat recorded in Book 5 of Maps , page 2,
of the records of said County, particularly described as follows , to wit•
Beginning at the corner of Lots 2 and 3 , said Block, in the
middle of Palm Avenue, thence Southwesterly along the muddle line of
Palm Avenue, 256 feet , thence at right angles Northwesterly 660 feet
to the Northwesterly line of said Lot 3, thence at right angles North-
r easterly al,,ong the Northwesterly line of said Lot 3, 256 feet to the
corner of Lots 2, 3 , 6 and 7, in said Block, thence at right angles
Ilmm Southeasterly along the Northeasterly side of Lot 3 , 660 feet to the
point of beginning, containing 3.88 acres of land, more or less.
SAVING AND EXCEPTING therefrom that portion thereof de-
scribed as commencing at the Southeast corner of said Lot 3, said Block
"J" , thence Northerly along the Easterly line of said Lot to the North-
lill east corner thereof, thence Westerly along the Northerly line of said
Lot, 43.64 feet ; thence South to a point in the Southerly line of said
Lot , 40 feet from the Southeast corner thereof; thence East along the
South line of said Lot to the point of beginning, as conveyed to the
City of Redlands by deed recorded in Book 403 of Deeds , page 142, of
the records of said C ounty.
