AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF
THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND
USE ZONING MAP AND REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE
CITY OF REDLANDS (ZONE CHANGE NO 461)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
WHEREAS, m accordance with Government Code section 65855, the Plannmg
Conunission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed Zone Change No 461 (the "Zone
Change") to change the City's land use zoning map for 10 44 acres of real property located at 1432
E Highland Avenue, from Educational (E) zoning designation to Suburban Residential (R -S)
zoning designation, and
WHEREAS, on May 28, 2019, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on
the Zone Change and considered verbal and written testimony of the City staff, the applicant for
the proposed Zone Change, and testimony from members of the public, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Coininission adopted Resolution No 1454 recommending to the
City Council that the Zone Change be approved, and
WHEREAS, on July 4, 2019, notice of the City Council's public hearing for the Zone
Change was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, on July 16, 2019 and September 3, 2019, the City Council held a public
hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Planning
Coininission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and
testimony by members of the public, and
WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the Zone Change, at which this City Council
provided opportunity for public testimony, the City Council determined that adoption of the Zone
Change is m the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows
Section 1 The zoning designation for approximately 10 44 acres of property located at
1432 E Highland Avenue, as more particularly shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A,"
is hereby changed to the "Suburban Residential (R -S) District "

Section 2 The Mayor Pro Tempore shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the
Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this
ordinance shall take effect m accordance with law
