Dear Mayor Larson:
CDF proposes to charge $6.55 per acre plus an , administrative charge
of 11.131 to protect 4,480 for a total of $32,610 during FY 1995-96. This is
an amendment to our three year agreement dated September 19, 1993, Contract
No. 3CA38230. If this is acceptable to City of Redlands please sign below
and include proper documentation (council resolution and signature authority
for the amendment). In addition, we request the signature of your local fire
chief.
All other terms and conditions of the original agreement and any prior
amendment remain in full force and effect.

RESOLUTION NO, 5190
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS, APPROVING PARTICIPATION WITH THE
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AND FIRE
PROTECTION,FOR FIRE PROTECTION OF WILDLANDS WITHIN
THE INCORPORATED CITY OF REDLANDS, AND AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 5100.
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands, San Bernardino County, California is
within the jurisdiction of the California Department of Forestry (CDF), the agency
responsible for Wildland fire protection in the State Responsibility Area(SRA); and
WHEREAS, the CDF has a policy that provides for cooperative agreements
with local jurisdiction for the purpose of fire prevention, fire control and extinguishment of
Wildland fire; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands does not have nor is it in the position to
acquire, the necessary resources to effectively confine, control and extinguish a major
Wildland fire; and
WHEREAS,joint participation will provide for cost effective Wildland fire
control;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF REDLANDS as follows:
Section : The City of Redlands agrees to participate in an Agreement for
Fire Protection of Wildlands between the State of California Department of Forestry and Fire
Protection during Fiscal Year 1995-96.
The City, of Redlands will allocate funding in the amount of
$32,610 to cover the cost of the agreement, to be transferred to the California Department
of Forestry.
Sectim 3: The City of Redlands will authorize the Mayor and City Clerk
to sign on behalf of the City.
Sectim 4: The City of Redlands will authorize the Fire Chief, or his
designee,to represent the City as a member of the Operations and Fire Prevention Technical
Committee to be formed and coordinated by the City.
