AGREEMENT
This agreement entered into by and between the City of
Redlands through its duly appointed, qualified and acting agent
whose signature appears below, hereinafter called the "City" and
the State of California acting through a duly appointed representa-
tive, qualified and acting for the Director of the Employment
Development Department, hereinafter called "EDD" has as its purpose
mutual assistance inthe operation of the City of Redlands Public
Employment Center.
WHEREAS, the City plans tO Continue the Public Employment
Center at 222 Brookside, Redlands, CA 92373; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the effective and successful
operation t
of he Center that an experienced employment service
placement employee provide supervision and technical placement
assistant.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed that:
I . The term of this agreement will be from january K 1978
through June 30, 1978.
2. The City wiIi continue to provide the quarters at 222
Brookside, utilities and telephone service adequate and essential
to the operation of the City Employment Center.
3. The City shall retain the right to establish the hours
that the City Employment Center wil ! operate on a daily or weekly
basis. The City may supplement the services of the EDDsignemployee
by asing other employees selected by the City either on a
paid or volunteer basis as determined by the City.
4. EDD will assign a qualified employee to the City* s
Employment Center from 'EDD ' s San Bernardino State Employment
Center located at 1148 W. 2nd Street, San Bernardino, CA 92410.
5, EDD will furnish two interviewer desks, one work table,
desk and reception area chairs, telautogr5ph equipment for timel
sharinrd
g of employer 'Job oers, job iqformatjon yCenter materials
and the necessary forms and office supplips related to standard
placement and EDD reporting activities.
6. EDD shall train and supervise City Employment Service
employees assigned to work in the TMployment Center.
?. The City will reimburse EDD for the cost of providing
personnel on an hourly hasis t th, rate of
08-61 per hour and
The City agrees to utilize the snrvicp of EDD
personnel for a minimum of four hours per day or
504 hours during January through june 04339.001
and the maximum amount rrimbjrsabie to EDD for
this six month agreement shall not exceed 0510.0L.
8. EDD shall furnish the City with activity reports as
required and/or requested by the City-
9. At alltimes during the pprformaics of this agreement,
the selected EDD empicyeafs! shall remain nmplayepisl of EDD and
the Scate of California and shall be entiti2d to all benefits and
privileges and are subject to all duties and obligations of such
employment including the pruvisions of the Unemployment insurance
Code, Government Code, State Adninis&ativn Waal , Rules of the
State Personnel Board and any Federal statutes, regulations or
policies that apply to the employees of the Department.
10. This agreement may be amended only in writing by the
parties.
11. This agreement may be terminated by either party upon
ten dayst written notice.
