September, A. D. 1914, by and between H. C. BAR2R, of the County
of Walla VPalla, State of Washington, party of the first part, and
the CITY OF REDLANDS, a municipal corporation of the State of
California, party of the second part, WITNESSITH:
That the said party of the first part, for and in consider-
ation of the sum of One Dollar to him paid by the said party of
the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and
other valuable consideration, does by these presents remise,,
release, and forever quitclaim unto the said party of the second
part, its successors and assigns, a strip of land within the
corporate limits of said City of Redlands, in the County of
San Bernardino, State of California, to be used for road purposes,

a center line described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of the Southeast quar-
ter of Section Thirty-s:.x (36) in Township One (1) south, of
Range Three (3) West, of San Bernardino Base and M- ridian One

South Nighty -three Degrees Sixteen Minutes: West Four hundred
eighteen and five -tenths feet (S. 830 16, W. )118.5 feet); thence
South Fifty-two Degrees Thirty-six Minutes West Three hundred
seventy-seven and three tenths feet (S. 521' 368 W. 377.3 feet);
thence South sixty-two Degrees: Forty-six Minutes West Six hundred
sixty-four and nine --tenths feet (S. 620 46, W. 664.9 feet);

TO HAVE AND TO ROLD9 all and singular the said premises,
together with the appurtenances, for road and street purposes,
um -to the said party of the second part, its successors and assigns,
forever. This deed is made, however, subject to the condition
that said road shall be properly graded and put in reasonable
condition for travel without any cost or expense therefor to said
party of the first part and without the cost or expense thereof
at any time being assessed against the adjoining land belonging
to said party of the first part, to which condition the party
of the second part agrees by its acceptance of this deed.
And it is hereby agreed that in the event that said premises
shall at any time cease to be used for road or street purposes
after the same have been graded as aforesaid, then said premises
shall- immediately revert to and vest wholly in said party of the
first part, his heirs and assigns.

I, the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the sate

Baker, to me known to be the individual described in and who
executed the within and foregoing indtrument, and acknowledged
that he signed and sealed the same as his free and voluntary
act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.
