Agreeably to your suggestion we put below the
conditions under which we will deed the city the 20 ft desired
Off the West side of our property for the extension of Orange St:
Vlon the city has properly graded this road in first class
shape,and deposited on tic same Syds of red dirt for every ten
feet of said road,or deposited red dirt and graded the same to
our sa:tisfaction,wc gill convey said strip of land,20 fft wido,for
street purposes by docd containing the following conditions:
lst--The MINE of the samc,at the expense of the city,Es
long as the road is used.
2nd--The hccp up of the road, in first class shapc,for the
same length of Wet
Frd--The condition that in case the above conditions lire not
camplidd with the said land shall revert to us.
74 feel that these conditions arc not unreasonable,aed that
as wo do not ask any cash remuncration,it is the best we can do.
Tlile 7c arc told the present board cannot bind any future board,
the above conditions fottify us against any neglect,and place the
matter so that,any now contingencies ari.sing,wo will be able to
arrange the matter with the trustees then in office or the same
basis as at present.
