Dear Mr. Lock:
We are pleased to inform you that the California Transportation
Commission on June 28, 1989, acting on the Department's
recommendation, allocated $29, 000 of California Aid to Airports
Program (CAAP) funds for Project #SBd-32-88-1 at the
Redlands Municipal Airport.
Safety Hazard Removal
Conditions: Construction plans and specifications must be in
accordance with both the current Caltrans standard specifications
and Federal Aviation Administration dimensional criteria
(Advisory Circular 150/5300-4B) .
Before the Department can enter into a grant agreement for these
funds, the following must be completed:
1. Authorized official shall sign where indicated accepting the
allocation of funds and return within 30 days from date of
this letter a signed copy to the Department.
2 . Construction Projects
a. Forward a copy of the plans and specifications,
including State fair employment practices and labor
code compliance provisions, to the Department for
review and approval before advertising for bids.
b. After opening of bids, submit an abstract of all bids
to the Department with the designated choice of
contractor for Departmental approval.
3 . Complete and sign the grant agreement (initiated by the
Department) and return it, with a resolution or minute order
of acceptance, authorizing the signature on the grant
agreement.

4 . The Department will return the fully executed grant agreement
with authorization to award the contract.
