This Indenture, Made the Twenty-fourth (24th) day of
December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety
Between William F. Holiday of Red
Lands, County of San Bernardino
State of California
the party of the first part,
and The City of Redlands in the
County of San Bernardino, State of
California
the party of the second part,
Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the
sum of Ten Dollars,
lawful money of the United States of America, to him in hand
paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
HAS granted, bargained and sold and by these
presents DOes grant, bargain and sell unto the
said party of the second part, and to its (heirs and is crossed out) and assigns forever, all that
certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the afore-
said County of San Bernardino, State of California
and bounded and particularly described as follows, to wit:-
Beginning
at a point on the East line of 10th
Street in said City of Redlands, two
hundred and fifty (250) feet north
of the north line of Citrus Avenue
in said City. Thence East, on a line
parallel to the centre line of State
Street in said City, produced, for a dis-
tance of six hundred and five (605) feet more
or less to the west line of Church
Street in said City; Thence north a-
long the west line of said Church Street for a distance of Eighty (80) feet.
Thence west on a line parallel with
the centre line of said State Street pro-
duced, for a distance of six hundred
and five (605) feet more or less to the
East line of 10th Stret aforesaid; thence
south along said East line of 10th
Street for a distance of Eighty (80)
feet to the place of beginning.
Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances there -
unto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder
and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof,
And Also, all the estate, right, title, interest, property,
possession, claim and demand whatsoever, as well in law as in equity, of the said part
of the first part, of, in and to the above-described premises, and every part and parcel
thereof, with the appurtenances.
To have and to hold all and singular the above mentioned and described
premises, together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part,
its heirs and assigns forever,
In Witness Whereof, the said party of the first part has hereunto set
his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
