This Indenture made this 22nd
day of December A.D. 1890 Witnesseth:
That Hattie B. Stoughton of San Ber-
nardino
of the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, for and in consideration of one
dollars, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
Do Grant to The City of Redlands in
the aforesaid County of San Bernardi-
no, State of California
All that real property situate in The City of Redlands County
of San Bernardino, State of California
bounded and described as follows: A strip of land Eight
(8) feet in width off of the Entire south
West side of the South West one half (1/2)
of Lot 4 1/2 of Block H of the second
Preliminary Map of Redlands of record
in the office of the County Recorder of said
County of San Bernardino, and more par-
ticularly described as follows, to wit:
Beginning at the South-west corner of said
Lot 4 1/2 and running thence in a north-
easterly direction along the south-eastern
boundary line of said Lot 4 1/2 for a
distance of Eight (8) feet; Thence in a north-
westerly direction and parallel to the south-
western boundary line of said Lot to the
north western boundary line of said South
West one half (1/2) of Lot 4 1/2; Thence in a
South-westerly direction along the said
north-western boundary line to the north-
west corner of said south west one half (1/2)
of Lot 4 1/2; Thence in a south easterly di-
rection along the south-western boundary
line of said lot to the place of beginning;
And also any and all right, title, and
interest of the said Hattie B. Stoughton in or
to any portion of Centre Street adjoining
said premises.

On this 22nd day of December in the year one thousand
eight hundred and ninety, before me,
L. C. Christy, Court Commissioner,
in and for the said County of San Bernardino residing
therein, duly commissioned and sworn, personally appeared
Hattie B. Stoughton wife of
Ira H. Stoughton known to me to be the person described in,
whose name is subscribed to, and who executed the within Instrument, described therein,
as a married woman; and upon examination, without the hearing of her husband, I made
her acquainted with the contents of the said Instrument, and thereupon she acknowledged
to me that she executed the same, and that she does not wish to retract such execution.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my
official seal, at my office in the said
County of San Bernardino, the day and year in
this certificate first above written.
