Davidson Recorder By ______ Deputy Recorder $1.50 Paid This Indenture, Made the Thirteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine Between Isaaac Ford, of Redlands the party of the first part, and the City of Redlands, the party of the second part, Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty five ($25) Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, HAS bargained, sold + conveyed and by these presents DOES bargain, sell, + convey unto the said party of the second part, and to its heirs and assigns forever, all that, certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the City of Redlands County of San Bernardino, State of California, and bounded and particularly described as follows, to wit:- A strip of land forty-five (45') feet in width west of certain line, which latter is itself descrived as follows; Beginning at a front on the north line of Section Four (4) Township Two (2) South, Page Three (3) West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, Sixteen hundred forty five 2/10 feet (1645.2) west of the north east corner of said section. From the above front of beginning in a northerwesterly direction along the center line of an arroyo Two-hundred seventy-two 8/10 feet (272.8) to the intersec- tion of the above arroyo with the center line of a street known as Arroyo Street. Said line being front of the eastern boundary of Lot Ten (10) Block 11, Ninth Addition to Second Proclamation any Map of Redlands. The aforesaid piece of land containing one quarter acre of land, more or less. The above land is to be dedicated to the traffic for the purpose of a traffic highway. Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances there - unto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, And Also, all the estate, right, title, interest property, possession, claim and demand whatsoever, as well in law as in equity, of the said party of the first part, of, in and to the above-described premises, and every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenances. To have and to hold all and singular the above-mentioned and described premises, together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, its heirs and assigns forever, In Witness Whereof, the said party of the first part has hereunto set his and seal the day and year first above written. Signed, Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Isaac Ford State of California, County of San Bernardino On this 15th day of February in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine before me, JOHN P. FISK, JR. a Notary Public, in and for the said County of San Bernardino residing therein, duly commissioned and sworn, personally appeared Isaac Ford and known to me to be the same person described and in whose name is subscribed to and who executed the within instrument and he acknowledged to me that he executed the same.
